도 5 및 도 6은 일실시예에 따른 회절 광학 소자를 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 7은 다른 일실시예에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 정면도를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 8은 또 다른 일실시예에 따른 디스플레이 장치를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 9는 일실시예에 따라 디스플레이 장치를 통해 관측되는 가상 영상의 예시를 나타낸 도면이다.
Claims (18)
- 광을 생성하는 광원 및 상기 광원으로부터 광을 제공받는 디스플레이 패널을 각각 포함하는 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들(display engines);
상기 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들 각각에 포함된 디스플레이 패널로부터 출광된 광을 내부에서 가이딩하는 도광판(light guide plate); 및
상기 도광판에 부착되어 상기 도광판 내부에서 가이딩(guiding)되는 광을 사용자로 출광시키는 복수의 회절 광학 소자들
을 포함하고,
상기 광에 의한 가상 영상들(virtual images)은 상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들에 따른 적어도 두 개의 서로 다른 깊이들에서 상기 사용자에 의해 관측되고,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들은 서로 겹치지 않고 상기 도광판의 수직 방향으로 서로 인접하게 배치되고,
상기 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들은 상기 도광판을 지지하는 구조물의 측면에 수직 방향으로 서로 인접하게 배치되고, 대응하는 회절 광학 소자에 수평 방향으로 인접하게 배치되고,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들 중 제1 회절 광학 소자에 의해 생성되는 제1 가상 영상은 제1 깊이에서 상기 사용자에 의해 관측되고, 제2 회절 광학 소자에 의해 생성되는 제2 가상 영상은 상기 제1 깊이와 상이한 제2 깊이에서 상기 사용자에 의해 관측되는,
디스플레이 장치. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들 각각은 높이(height)보다 폭(width)이 큰 형태를 가지는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들은 홀로그래피 기법에 따른 간섭 무늬를 포함하고,
상기 도광판 내부에서 가이딩되는 광은 상기 홀로그래피 기법에 따른 참조 광(reference beam)을 생성하는 광원에서 제공되는, 디스플레이 장치. - 삭제

상기 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들 각각은
대응하는 디스플레이 패널로부터 출광된 광을 상기 도광판 내부로 입사시키는 프리즘을 더 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,

상기 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들 각각으로부터 전달된 광이 내부에서 서로 섞이지는 것을 방지하도록 수평 방향으로 배치되는 내부 차단막을 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 디스플레이 엔진들 각각에 포함된 디스플레이 패널은
하나의 영상이 분할된 부분 영상을 표시하거나 또는 서로 다른 영상을 표시하는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들 각각은 레이저 간섭 노광(laser interference lithography) 기법에 의해 제작된 HOE(Holographic Optical Element)을 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들은 차량, 모터사이클, 스마트 모빌리티, 항공기 및 선박 중 어느 하나에 포함된 글라스(glass)로부터 미리 결정된 거리로 떨어진 위치에 배치되고,
상기 복수의 회절 광학 소자들에 의해 출광된 광은 상기 글라스로 제공되는, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 디스플레이 장치는 헤드 업 디스플레이(HUD; Head Up Display)인, 디스플레이 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 도광판은 차량, 모터사이클, 스마트 모빌리티, 항공기 및 선박 중 어느 하나에 포함된 글라스를 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치. - 삭제
