Claims (27)
- 백라이트 광원, 광원측 편광판, 액정 셀 및 시인측 편광판을 이 순서로 구비하는 액정 표시 장치에 있어서, 광원측 편광판 및 시인측 편광판은 각각 적어도 1장의 편광자 보호 필름 및 편광자를 갖고, 시인측 편광판의 편광자 보호 필름으로서 편광자의 액정 셀과는 반대측의 면에 위치하는 편광자 보호 필름을 편광자 보호 필름 1, 광원측 편광판의 편광자 보호 필름으로서 편광자의 액정 셀과는 반대측의 면에 위치하는 편광자 보호 필름을 편광자 보호 필름 4라고 한 경우, 편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션이 5500∼10000nm이고, 편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션이 4500nm 이상이며, 편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션의 비율이 0.55∼0.97인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션이 9500nm 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션의 비율이 0.55∼0.95인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 두께가 50∼95㎛이고, 편광자 보호 필름 1의 두께/편광자 보호 필름 4의 두께의 비율이 0.5∼0.97인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 두께가 40∼80㎛인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 두께/편광자 보호 필름 4의 두께의 비율이 0.5∼0.95인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션이 6000nm 이상 8700nm 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션이 5500nm 이상 8000nm 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션의 비율이 0.7 이상 0.97 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 9 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션의 비율이 0.82 이상 0.97 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션의 비율이 0.95를 초과하고 0.97 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 두께/편광자 보호 필름 4의 두께의 비율이 0.95를 초과하고 0.97 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 두께 방향 리타데이션이 6200nm 이상 9500nm 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.8 이상 2 미만인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.8 이상 1.2 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 14 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.85 이상 1.0 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 두께 방향 리타데이션이 5700nm 이상 8000nm 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.8 이상 2 미만인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.8 이상 1.2 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 18 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 면내 리타데이션/두께 방향 리타데이션(Re/Rth)이 0.85 이상 1.0 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 NZ 계수가 1을 초과하고 1.7 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 4의 NZ 계수가 1.4 이상 1.7 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 NZ 계수가 1을 초과하고 1.7 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1의 NZ 계수가 1.4 이상 1.7 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
편광자 보호 필름 1과 편광자 보호 필름 4의 합계의 필름 두께가 100㎛ 이상 145㎛ 이하인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
광원측 편광판의 편광자의 흡수축과 편광자 보호 필름 4의 지상축(遲相軸)이 이루는 각도가 90도(단, ±10도까지의 어긋남이 허용된다)인 액정 표시 장치. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
