- 디젤 산화 촉매로서,
제1 단부면 a와 제2 단부면 b 사이에 연장된 길이 L을 갖는 지지체 바디(carrier body), 및
상기 지지체 바디 상에 배치된 촉매 활성 물질 구획 A 및 B
를 포함하고,
- 물질 구획 A는 팔라듐 또는 백금과 팔라듐을 ≤ 1의 Pt:Pd 중량비로 함유하고 단부면 a에서부터 출발하여 길이 L의 20 내지 80%까지 연장되며,
- 물질 구획 B는 백금과 팔라듐을 < 10의 Pt:Pd 중량비로 함유하고 길이 L의 80 내지 100%까지 연장되며,
물질 구획 B는 물질 구획 A 위에 배치되고, 물질 구획 A 및 B에 대한 중량비 Pt:Pd는 1.5 내지 3.0인, 디젤 산화 촉매. - 제1항에 있어서, 지지체 산화물을 추가로 포함하고, 상기 물질 구획 A 및 B에서, 팔라듐 또는 백금과 팔라듐이 상기 지지체 산화물 상에 존재함을 특징으로 하는, 디젤 산화 촉매.

- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 A가 알칼리 토금속을 함유함을 특징으로 하는, 디젤 산화 촉매.
- 제4항에 있어서, 물질 구획 A의 상기 알칼리 토금속이 스트론튬 또는 바륨 또는 스트론튬과 바륨임을 특징으로 하는, 디젤 산화 촉매.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 물질 구획 B의 길이가 상기 지지체 바디의 총 길이 L의 95% 또는 100%임을 특징으로 하는, 디젤 산화 촉매.
- 디젤 배기 가스의 처리 방법으로서, 상기 디젤 배기 가스가 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 디젤 산화 촉매를 통과하며 상기 디젤 배기 가스가 단부면 a에서 상기 지지체 바디 내로 유동하고 단부면 b에서 상기 지지체 바디로부터 유출됨을 특징으로 하는, 디젤 배기 가스의 처리 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 디젤 산화 촉매를 갖는, 디젤 엔진으로부터의 배기 가스의 정화 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 디젤 산화 촉매가 디젤 미립자 필터 및/또는 질소 산화물의 선택적 촉매 환원을 위한 촉매의 상류에 배치됨을 특징으로 하는, 배기 가스의 정화 장치.
