Abstract
Description
Claims (16)
- 적어도 하나의 폴리올을 포함하는 연속상에 분산된 스티렌/아크릴로니트릴 코폴리머 입자를 함유하는 폴리머 폴리올을 제조하는 방법으로서,
a) 5 내지 25 중량%의 불포화된 매크로머, 2.5 내지 20 중량%의, 50 내지 500 nm 입자 크기를 갖는 스티렌 폴리머 또는 코폴리머 입자, 및 45 내지 92.5 중량%의 씨드 분산물 캐리어 폴리올을 함유하는 씨드 분산물(seed dispersion)을 형성하는 단계로서, 상기 중량%는 상기 씨드 분산물의 중량을 기준으로 하는, 상기 씨드 분산물을 형성하는 단계;
b) 상기 씨드 분산물, 염기 폴리올 및 용매를 함유하는 캐리어 혼합물을 형성하고, 상기 캐리어 혼합물 내로 모노머 혼합물의 중량을 기준으로 적어도 25 중량%의 스티렌 및 20 중량% 초과의 아크릴로니트릴을 포함하는 모노머 혼합물을 분산시키는 단계로서,
i) 상기 씨드 분산물의 양은 상기 캐리어 혼합물 및 모노머 혼합물의 조합된 중량을 기준으로 0.025 내지 0.35 중량 퍼센트의 종자 입자(seed particle) 및 0.1 내지 0.75 중량 퍼센트의 불포화된 매크로머(macromer)를 제공하기에 충분하고;
ii) 상기 모노머 혼합물의 중량은 상기 종자 입자의 중량의 적어도 200배이고 그리고 중합될 때 적어도 30 중량-퍼센트의 상기 분산된 폴리머 입자를 갖는 상기 폴리머 폴리올을 제공하기에 충분하고, 그리고
iii) 상기 용매의 양은 상기 캐리어 혼합물과 상기 모노머 혼합물의 조합된 중량의 6 내지 20%인, 상기 모노머 혼합물을 분산시키는 단계;
c) 분산된 상기 모노머 혼합물을 중합시켜 상기 캐리어 혼합물 중에 분산된 폴리머 입자를 형성시키는 단계 및 그 다음
d) 상기 캐리어 혼합물로부터 상기 용매를 제거하여 적어도 30 중량 퍼센트의 분산된 폴리머 입자를 함유하는 폴리머 폴리올 생성물을 형성시키는 단계로서, 상기 분산된 폴리머 입자는 1 내지 3㎛의 입자 크기와 1.25 미만의 입자 크기 범위를 가지는, 상기 폴리머 폴리올 생성물을 형성시키는 단계를 포함하는, 폴리머 폴리올을 제조하는 방법. - 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 용매는 방향족 탄화수소, 지방족 탄화수소 또는 모노알코올 중 하나 이상인, 방법.
