도 2a 및 2b는 필름 샘플을 폭 방향(TD)에 대해 인장 시에 인장율(%)에 따른 응력(kgf/mm2)의 곡선을 나타낸 것이다.
도 3은 필름의 인장 시에 인장율에 따른 응력의 곡선에서 기울기의 변화 지점(B)을 나타낸 것이다.
도 4a 및 4b는 각각 인폴딩(in-folding) 및 아웃폴딩(out-folding) 타입의 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치의 단면도를 나타낸 것이다.

Claims (12)
- 필름의 길이 방향을 제 1 방향, 폭 방향을 제 2 방향이라 할 때, 상기 제 1 방향 연신비가 2.0 내지 3.5이고, 상기 제 1 방향 연신비에 대한 상기 제 2 방향 연신비의 비율이 1.05 내지 1.2이며,
아래 식 (1) 및 (2)를 만족하는 인장 응력을 갖는, 폴리에스테르 필름:
1.1 ≤ TS1[20%] / TS1[6%] ... (1)
1.1 ≤ TS2[8%] / TS2[4%] ... (2)
상기 식에서, TS1[6%] 및 TS1[20%]은 각각 상기 제 1 방향에서 6% 및 20% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이고, TS2[4%] 및 TS2[8%]은 각각 상기 제 2 방향에서 4% 및 8% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이다.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 TS1[20%]이 상기 TS1[6%]보다 1 kgf/mm2 이상 더 크고,
상기 TS2[8%]이 상기 TS2[4%]보다 1.5 kgf/mm2 이상 더 큰, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 TS1[20%] 및 상기 TS2[8%]이 10 kgf/mm2 내지 15 kgf/mm2 인, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 TS1[20%] / TS1[6%] 비율이 1.1 내지 1.25 이고,
상기 TS2[8%] / TS2[4%] 비율이 1.1 내지 1.2 인, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름이 아래 식 (3)을 더 만족하는, 폴리에스테르 필름:
0.9 ≤ (TS2[8%] / TS2[4%]) / (TS1[20%] / TS1[6%]) ≤ 1.1 ... (3)
상기 식에서, TS1[6%] 및 TS1[20%]은 각각 상기 제 1 방향에서 6% 및 20% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이고, TS2[4%] 및 TS2[8%]은 각각 상기 제 2 방향에서 4% 및 8% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이다.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름이 180℃ 내지 190℃에서 열고정된 것인, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름이 파단이 발생할 때까지의 135°각도의 반복 폴딩 횟수가 10만회 이상인, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리에스테르 필름이 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치의 커버에 적용되는, 폴리에스테르 필름.
- 폴리에스테르 수지를 시트상으로 형성하고 이축 연신한 뒤 180℃ 내지 190℃에서 열고정하여 폴리에스테르 필름을 얻는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 폴리에스테르 필름의 길이 방향을 제 1 방향, 폭 방향을 제 2 방향이라 할 때, 상기 제 1 방향 연신비가 2.0 내지 3.5이고, 상기 제 1 방향 연신비에 대한 상기 제 2 방향 연신비의 비율이 1.05 내지 1.2이며, 하기 식 (1) 및 (2)를 만족하는 인장 응력을 갖는, 폴리에스테르 필름의 제조방법:
1.1 ≤ TS1[20%] / TS1[6%] ... (1)
1.1 ≤ TS2[8%] / TS2[4%] ... (2)
상기 식에서, TS1[6%] 및 TS1[20%]은 각각 상기 제 1 방향에서 6% 및 20% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이고, TS2[4%] 및 TS2[8%]은 각각 상기 제 2 방향에서 4% 및 8% 인장에 대한 응력(kgf/mm2)이다.
- 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치용 투명 커버; 및 상기 투명 커버 상에 배치되는 제 1 항의 폴리에스테르 필름을 포함하는, 적층체.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,
상기 투명 커버가 폴리이미드계 필름이고, 상기 폴리이미드계 필름이 파단이 발생할 때까지의 135°각도의 반복 폴딩 횟수가 10만회 이상인, 적층체.
- 제 1 항의 폴리에스테르 필름을 커버에 포함하는, 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치.
