도 2는 본 실시형태에 있어서의 피막의 하부층(제1 교호층)을 현미경으로 촬영한 도면 대용 사진이다.
도 3A는 본 실시형태에 있어서의 피막의 상부층(제2 교호층)을 현미경으로 촬영한 도면 대용 사진이다.
도 3B는 도 3A를 확대하여 도시한 도면 대용 사진이다.
도 4A는 본 실시형태에 있어서의 피막의 밀착층을 현미경으로 촬영한 도면 대용 사진이다.
도 4B는 도 4A를 확대하여 도시한 도면 대용 사진이다.
도 5는 본 실시형태에 따른 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법에서 이용하는 성막 장치를, 그 단면에 있어서 모식적으로 도시하여 설명하는 설명도이다.
도 6은 본 실시형태에 따른 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법에서 이용하는 성막 장치를, 그 평면에 있어서 모식적으로 도시하여 설명하는 설명도이다.
Claims (12)
- 기재와 이 기재의 표면에 형성된 피막을 구비하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구로서,
상기 피막은 제1 교호층과 이 제1 교호층 상에 형성된 제2 교호층을 포함하고,
상기 제1 교호층은 제1층과 제2층을 포함하고,
상기 제2 교호층은 제3층과 제4층을 포함하고,
상기 제1층과 상기 제2층은 교대로 각각 1층 이상 적층되고,
상기 제3층과 상기 제4층은 교대로 각각 1층 이상 적층되고,
상기 제1층은 AlaCrbM11-a-b의 질화물 또는 탄질화물로 이루어지며, 상기 제1층을 구성하는 각 금속 원자의 원자수비는 0.5≤a≤0.9, 0<b≤0.4 및 0≤1-a-b≤0.1의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제2층은 AlcTidM21-c-d의 질화물 또는 탄질화물로 이루어지며, 상기 제2층을 구성하는 각 금속 원자의 원자수비는 0.35≤c≤0.7, 0.3≤d≤0.7 및 0≤1-c-d≤0.1의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제3층은 AleTifM31-e-f의 질화물 또는 탄질화물로 이루어지며, 상기 제3층을 구성하는 각 금속 원자의 원자수비는 0.35≤e≤0.7, 0.3≤f≤0.7 및 0≤1-e-f≤0.1의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제4층은 AlgTihM41-g-h의 질화물 또는 탄질화물로 이루어지며, 상기 제4층을 구성하는 각 금속 원자의 원자수비는 0.35≤g≤0.7, 0.3≤h≤0.7 및 0≤1-g-h≤0.1의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제3층을 구성하는 Al의 원자수비 e 및 상기 제4층을 구성하는 Al의 원자수비 g는 0.05≤|g-e|≤0.2의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제3층을 구성하는 Ti의 원자수비 f 및 상기 제4층을 구성하는 Ti의 원자수비 h는 0.05≤|h-f|≤0.2의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 M1, 상기 M2, 상기 M3 및 상기 M4는 각각 독립적으로 Cr, Ti를 제외한 주기표의 제4족 원소, 제5족 원소, 제6족 원소, Si 및 B로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소이며,
상기 제2층을 구성하는 Al의 원자수비 c, 상기 제3층을 구성하는 Al의 원자수비 e 및 상기 제4층을 구성하는 Al의 원자수비 g는 e≤c≤g의 관계를 만족하고,
상기 제2층을 구성하는 Ti의 원자수비 d, 상기 제3층을 구성하는 Ti의 원자수비 f 및 상기 제4층을 구성하는 Ti의 원자수비 h는 h≤d≤f의 관계를 만족하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 교호층은 최상층이 상기 제2층인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1 교호층은 최하층이 상기 제1층 또는 상기 제2층인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1층의 두께 λ1 및 상기 제2층의 두께 λ2는 각각 0.005 ㎛ 이상 2 ㎛ 이하이고,
상기 제1층과 상기 제2층의 두께의 비인 λ1/λ2는 1≤λ1/λ2≤5의 관계를 만족하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제3층의 두께 λ3 및 상기 제4층의 두께 λ4는 각각 0.005 ㎛ 이상 2 ㎛ 이하이고,
상기 제3층과 상기 제4층의 두께의 비인 λ3/λ4는 1≤λ3/λ4≤5의 관계를 만족하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 피막은 전체의 두께가 0.5 ㎛ 이상 15 ㎛ 이하인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 피막은 상기 제1 교호층보다도 상기 기재 측에 밀착층을 포함하고,
상기 밀착층은 두께가 0.5 nm 이상 20 nm 이하이고,
상기 밀착층은, 상기 기재를 구성하는 원소로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소와, 제1 원소와, 제2 원소를 포함하는 탄화물, 질화물 또는 탄질화물이고,
상기 제1 원소는 Cr, Ti, Zr 및 Nb를 제외한 주기표의 제4족 원소, 제5족 원소, 제6족 원소, Al, Si 및 B로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소이고,
상기 제2 원소는 Cr, Ti, Zr 및 Nb로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소이고,
상기 기재를 구성하는 원소로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소는 적어도 W를 포함하고, 상기 W가 상기 밀착층에 확산되어 있는 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제7항에 있어서, 상기 기재는, WC을 포함하는 경질 입자와, 이 경질 입자끼리를 결합하는 결합상을 포함하고,
상기 결합상은 Co를 포함하고,
상기 밀착층은 W, Cr, Ti, Al 및 M5를 포함하는 탄화물, 질화물 또는 탄질화물이고,
상기 M5는 W, Cr, Ti를 제외한 주기표의 제4족 원소, 제5족 원소, 제6족 원소, Si 및 B로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소인 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1 교호층 및 상기 제2 교호층은 결정 구조가 입방정인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 기재한 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법으로서,
상기 기재를 준비하는 제1 공정과,
상기 제1층과 상기 제2층을 물리적 증착법을 이용하여 교대로 각각 1층 이상 적층함으로써 상기 제1 교호층을 형성하는 제2 공정과,
상기 제1 교호층 상에 상기 제3층과 상기 제4층을 물리적 증착법을 이용하여 교대로 각각 1층 이상 적층함으로써 상기 제2 교호층을 형성하는 제3 공정을 포함하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법. - 제10항에 있어서, 상기 물리적 증착법은, 캐소드 아크 이온 플레이팅법, 밸런스드 마그네트론 스퍼터링법 및 언밸런스드 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 적어도 1종인 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법.
