도 2는 실시예들이 적용되는 화소 구조를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 구동전압 과전류 검출부와 타이밍 컨트롤러, 그리고 기저전압 스위칭부의 구성을 보여주는 도면이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 기저전압 스위칭을 위한 회로의 구성을 보여주는 도면이다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 표시패널의 과전류를 검출하는 구성을 보여주는 도면이다.
도 6은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의한 과전류 검출부의 구성을 보여주는 도면이다.
도 7a 및 도 7b는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의하여 과전류가 검출된 경우 EVDD의 연결을 제어하는 구동전압 스위칭부 및 이를 포함한 구동전압 제어부에 관한 도면이다.

Claims (12)
- 제1방향으로 데이터라인이 형성되고 제2방향으로 게이트라인이 형성되어 다수의 화소가 정의된 표시패널;
상기 데이터라인을 통해 데이터전압을 공급하는 데이터 구동부;
상기 게이트라인을 통해 스캔신호를 공급하는 게이트 구동부;
상기 표시패널의 전류에 비례하는 전압값을 산출하며, 과전류기준전압을 입력받는 회로부; 및
상기 데이터 구동부 및 상기 게이트 구동부의 구동 타이밍을 제어하며 상기 회로부에서 과전류를 확인하는 경우 상기 표시패널의 작동을 중단시키는 타이밍 컨트롤러를 포함하고,
상기 회로부는 상기 표시패널의 구동전압과 전기적으로 연결된 구동전압 과전류 검출부를 포함하며,
상기 구동전압 과전류 검출부는,
상기 표시패널의 제1구동전압선에서 검출한 전류에 비례하는 전압값과 제2구동전압선에서 검출한 전류에 비례하는 전압값 중 높은 값을 상기 과전류기준전압과 비교하고, 비교한 결과를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러에 제공하는 유기발광 표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 회로부에 포함된 구동전압 과전류 검출부는, 상기 표시패널의 전류에 비례하는 전압값을 산출하여 상기 과전류기준전압과 비교한 결과를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러에 제공하는 유기발광 표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 표시패널은 상기 표시패널의 기저전압을 제1전압 및 제2전압 중 어느 하나로 스위칭하는 기저전압 스위칭부를 포함하며,
상기 타이밍 컨트롤러는 상기 회로부에서 과전류를 확인한 경우 상기 표시패널의 기저전압을 제1전압으로 스위칭하는 것을 지시하는 신호를 상기 기저전압 스위칭부에 입력하며, 상기 제1전압은 상기 표시패널의 구동전압의 흐름을 차단하는 전압인, 유기발광 표시장치. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 기저전압 스위칭부는 센싱모드에서 상기 기저전압을 상기 제1전압으로 스위칭하며, 구동 모드에서 상기 기저전압을 상기 제2전압으로 스위칭하는, 유기발광 표시장치. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 제1전압과 구동전압과의 차이는 상기 제2전압과 구동전압과의 차이보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는, 유기발광 표시장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 구동전압 과전류 검출부는
구동전압과 연결되어 전류 센싱을 하는 저저항부;
상기 저저항부를 통해 산출된 전류에 비례하는 전압을 출력하는 연산 증폭부; 및
상기 연산 증폭부와 상기 과전류기준전압을 비교하여 하이(High) 또는 로우(Low) 신호를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러에게 제공하는 레벨 디텍션부를 포함하는, 유기발광 표시장치. - 삭제
- 제2항에 있어서,
상기 과전류기준전압은 상기 표시패널에 대해 설정된 전압값인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기발광 표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 회로부는 상기 표시패널의 구동전압과 연결되며 상기 표시패널의 전류에 비례하는 전압값을 산출하여 과전류기준전압과 비교한 결과를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러에 제공하며,
상기 회로부는 상기 전압값이 상기 과전류기준전압보다 같거나 높은 경우 구동전압선의 연결을 끊는 구동전압 제어부를 포함하는 유기발광 표시장치. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 구동전압 제어부는
구동전압과 연결되어 전류 센싱을 하는 저저항부;
상기 저저항부를 통해 산출된 전류에 비례하는 전압을 출력하는 연산 증폭부;
상기 연산 증폭부와 상기 과전류기준전압을 비교하여 하이(High) 또는 로우(Low) 신호를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러에게 제공하는 레벨 디텍션부; 및
상기 구동전압을 연결하거나 끊는 구동전압 스위칭부를 포함하는, 유기발광 표시장치. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 구동전압 제어부는 상기 표시장치에 전원이 인가될 경우 상기 구동전압이 항상 연결되도록 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 유기발광 표시장치. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 과전류기준전압은 상기 표시패널에 대해 설정된 전압값인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기발광 표시장치.
