Claims (12)
- 하기식 (1)로 나타나는 부분 구조 및 하기식 (2)로 나타나는 부분 구조로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종을 갖는 중합체(P)를 함유하는, 액정 배향제:
(식 (1) 및 식 (2) 중, X1은, 사이클로부탄환 구조를 갖는 4가의 유기기이며, 사이클로부탄환의 환 부분에 적어도 1개의 치환기를 갖고; X2는, 하기식 (4)로 나타나는 2가의 유기기이고; R5 및 R6은, 각각 독립적으로, 수소 원자 또는 탄소수 1∼6의 1가의 유기기임);
(식 (4) 중, A1 및 A2는, 각각 독립적으로 2가의 방향환기이며, 환 부분에 치환기를 갖고 있어도 좋고; 단, A1 및 A2의 적어도 한쪽은, 피리딘환, 피라진환, 피리미딘환 및 피리다진환으로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 1종의 질소 함유 복소환의 환 부분으로부터 2개의 수소 원자를 제거한 2가의 질소 함유 복소환기이며, 환 부분에 치환기를 갖고 있어도 좋고; Y1 및 Y2는, 각각 독립적으로, 산소 원자, 황 원자, 또는 「-NR7-」(R7은 수소 원자 또는 1가의 유기기임)이고; Z1은, 지방족 구조를 갖는 탄소수 1∼15의 2가의 유기기이며, Y1 및 Y2 상의 적어도 한쪽의 치환기와 Z1이 결합하여 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고, Y1 및 Y2 상의 치환기끼리가 결합하여 Z1과 함께 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고; 「*」는 결합손을 나타냄). - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 Z1은, 하기식 (5)로 나타나는 2가의 유기기인, 액정 배향제:
(식 (5) 중, R9 및 R10은, 각각 독립적으로 알칸디일기이며, R9 및 R10의 합계 탄소수가 1∼15이고; 단, 상기식 (4) 중의 Y1 및 Y2 상의 적어도 한쪽의 치환기와 R9가 결합하여 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고, Y1 및 Y2 상의 적어도 한쪽의 치환기와 R10이 결합하여 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고, Y1 및 Y2 상의 적어도 한쪽의 치환기와 Y3 상의 치환기가 결합하여 R9 또는 R10과 함께 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고; Y3은, 산소 원자, 황 원자, 또는 「-NR8-」(R8은 수소 원자 또는 1가의 유기기임)이고; p는 0∼4의 정수이고; p가 2 이상인 경우, 복수의 R9, Y3은, 서로 동일해도 상이해도 좋고; 「*」는 결합손을 나타냄). - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 X1은, 하기식 (3)으로 나타나는 4가의 유기기인, 액정 배향제.
(식 (3) 중, R1∼R3은, 각각 독립적으로, 수소 원자, 할로겐 원자, 탄소수 1∼6의 알킬기, 탄소수 1∼6의 할로겐화 알킬기, 탄소수 1∼6의 알콕시기, 탄소수 1∼6의 티오 알킬기, 탄소수 2∼6의 알케닐기, 탄소수 2∼6의 알키닐기, 또는 「-COR20」(R20은, 탄소수 1∼6의 알킬기, 불소 함유 알킬기, 알콕시기 또는 불소 함유 알콕시기임)이고; R4는, 할로겐 원자, 탄소수 1∼6의 알킬기, 탄소수 1∼6의 할로겐화 알킬기, 탄소수 1∼6의 알콕시기, 탄소수 1∼6의 티오 알킬기, 탄소수 2∼6의 알케닐기, 탄소수 2∼6의 알키닐기, 또는 「-COR20」이고; 단, R1∼R4 중 인접하는 기끼리가 결합하여 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고; 「*」는 결합손을 나타냄). - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 A1 및 A2는 모두, 피리딘환, 피라진환, 피리미딘환 및 피리다진환으로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 1종의 질소 함유 복소환의 환 부분으로부터 2개의 수소 원자를 제거한 2가의 질소 함유 복소환기이고,
상기 Y1 및 Y2는, 상기 A1 및 A2가 갖는 질소 함유 복소환에 대하여, 당해 질소 함유 복소환의 환 내의 질소 원자에 인접하는 탄소 원자에 결합하고 있는, 액정 배향제. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 A1 및 A2가 갖는 질소 함유 복소환은 피리딘환이고,
상기 Y1 및 Y2의 피리딘환상의 결합 부위는, 각각, 피리딘환의 질소 원자에 대하여 오르토 위치이고, 또한 상기 X2에 결합하는 상기식 (1) 및 상기식 (2) 중의 질소 원자에 대하여 파라 위치인, 액정 배향제. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 Y1 및 Y2의 적어도 한쪽이 「-NR7-」인, 액정 배향제. - 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 액정 배향제를 이용하여 형성된 액정 배향막.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 액정 배향제를 이용하여 도막을 형성하고, 당해 도막에 광 조사 처리를 실시하여 액정 배향능을 부여하는 광 배향 공정을 포함하는, 액정 배향막의 제조 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서,
상기 광 조사 처리가 실시된 도막을, 물, 수용성 유기 용매, 또는 물과 수용성 유기 용매의 혼합 용매에 접촉시키는 접촉 공정을 추가로 포함하는, 액정 배향막의 제조 방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 광 조사 처리가 실시된 도막을, 상기 접촉 공정의 전 및 상기 접촉 공정의 후의 적어도 한쪽에서, 120℃ 이상 280℃ 이하의 온도 범위 내에서 가열하는 가열 공정을 추가로 포함하는, 액정 배향막의 제조 방법. - 제7항에 기재된 액정 배향막을 구비하는 액정 소자.
- 하기식 (1)로 나타나는 부분 구조 및 하기식 (2)로 나타나는 부분 구조로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종을 갖는 중합체:
(식 (1) 및 식 (2) 중, X1은, 사이클로부탄환 구조를 갖는 4가의 유기기이며, 사이클로부탄환의 환 부분에 적어도 1개의 치환기를 갖고; X2는, 하기식 (4)로 나타나는 2가의 유기기이고; R5 및 R6은, 각각 독립적으로, 수소 원자 또는 탄소수 1∼6의 1가의 유기기임);
(식 (4) 중, A1 및 A2는, 각각 독립적으로 2가의 방향환기이며, 환 부분에 치환기를 갖고 있어도 좋고; 단, A1 및 A2의 적어도 한쪽은, 피리딘환, 피라진환, 피리미딘환 및 피리다진환으로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 1종의 질소 함유 복소환의 환 부분으로부터 2개의 수소 원자를 제거한 2가의 질소 함유 복소환기이며, 환 부분에 치환기를 갖고 있어도 좋고; Y1 및 Y2는, 각각 독립적으로, 산소 원자, 황 원자, 또는 「-NR7-」(R7은 수소 원자 또는 1가의 유기기임)이고; Z1은, 지방족 구조를 갖는 탄소수 1∼15의 2가의 유기기이며, Y1 및 Y2 상의 적어도 한쪽의 치환기와 Z1이 결합하여 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고, Y1 및 Y2 상의 치환기끼리가 결합하여 Z1과 함께 환 구조를 형성하고 있어도 좋고; 「*」는 결합손을 나타냄).
