Claims (20)
- 하나 이상의 전지셀이 보호회로기판(protection circuit board)에 전기적으로 연결되어 있는 전지팩으로서,
상기 전지셀은 적어도 하나 이상의 체결용 관통구가 천공되어 있는 한 쌍의 전극 단자들을 포함하고,
상기 보호회로기판는 전극 단자들에 전기적으로 접속되는 전기 전도성의 접속 플레이트들을 포함하며;
상기 접속 플레이트들 각각은,
전극 단자의 하면에 밀착되는 플레이트 부; 및
상기 체결용 관통구에 대응되는 위치의 플레이트 부 상에 천공되어 있는 개구;
를 포함하고 있고,
상기 접속 플레이트들 중의 적어도 하나에는 체결용 관통구에 삽입될 수 있는 하나 이상의 돌출 체결부가 형성되어 있고;
상기 돌출 체결부는, 상기 개구와 연통되는 구조로 상기 전극단자의 두께 대비 150% 내지 2000%의 길이로 상기 접속 플레이트로부터 돌출되고, 상기 체결용 관통구에 억지 끼움 가능하도록 평면상으로 상기 체결용 관통구의 면적 대비 100% 내지 120%의 면적을 가지며,
상기 보호회로기판에 대한 전극 단자들의 고정 및 전기적 연결을 위해, 상기 돌출 체결부는, 체결용 관통구에 삽입된 상태에서, 상기 전극단자의 상면 이상으로 돌출되고, 상기 돌출 체결부의 상부로부터 가해지는 압력에 의해 상기 전극단자의 상면 이상으로 돌출된 돌출 체결부의 상부 부위가 연신 및 확장되면서, 전극 단자의 상면에 밀착되도록 확장 절곡되어, 상기 전극단자에 접속 플레이트가 고정됨과 동시에 전기적으로 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.

- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 플레이트 부와 돌출 체결부는 각각, 전극 단자의 두께 대비 110% 내지 1000%의 두께로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지셀은 전극조립체가 전해액과 함께 전지케이스에 내장된 상태로 전지케이스의 외주변이 밀봉된 구조이고,
한 쌍의 전극 단자들인 제 1 전극 단자와 제 2 전극 단자가 전지케이스의 밀봉된 일변에서 나란히 위치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 전극 단자는 전극조립체의 전극 탭들과 직접적으로 연결된 상태로 전지케이스의 밀봉된 일변을 통해 외향으로 돌출되어 있고,
상기 제 2 전극 단자는 상기 전지케이스의 외측에서 TCO(thermal cut off) 및/또는 PTC 소자를 경유하여 전극조립체의 전극 탭들에 간접적으로 연결되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 전극조립체는 전극 탭들에 연결된 리드 부재를 포함하며, 상기 리드 부재가 전지케이스의 밀봉된 일변을 통해 외부로 노출되어 있으며,
상기 TCO(thermal cut off) 및/또는 PTC 소자는 리드 부재에 전기적으로 연결된 상태로 제 2 전극 단자와 결합된 구조로, 전극조립체와 상기 제 2 전극 단자를 전기적으로 연결시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 전극 단자는 상기 밀봉된 일변 상에 장착된 상태로 일변의 단부로부터 외향으로 돌출되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 리드 부재는 전지케이스의 밀봉된 일변을 통해 돌출된 상태에서 돌출 방향에 대한 반대 방향으로 둔각 또는 우각으로 절곡되어 상기 밀봉된 일변과 대면하고 있으며,
상기 일변과 대면하는 리드 부재에는 전기전도성의 금속편이 용접 또는 솔더링에 의해 결합되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 12 항에 있어서, 상기 금속편에는 TCO 및/또는 PTC 소자가 결합되어 있으며, 상기 TCO 및/또는 PTC 소자는 금속편과 결합된 상태로 제 2 전극 단자에 결합되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 보호회로기판은,
인쇄회로들(printed circuits);
상기 인쇄회로에 전기적으로 연결되어 있고, 외부 디바이스에 전기적으로 연결되는 외부 입출력 케이블; 및
상기 인쇄회로에 전기적으로 연결되어 있고, 상기 접속 플레이트를 경유하여 전지셀과 전기적으로 연결되도록, 접속 플레이트가 장착되어 있는 복수의 접속단들;
을 추가로 포함하고;
상기 접속단들에는 돌출 체결부와 대응되는 위치에 개구가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지팩은,
한 쌍의 전지셀들의 전극 단자들이 상호 대면하도록 평면 배열된 구조의 하나 이상의 전지셀 배열체;
상면 또는 하면이 개방된 상태로 전지셀의 외주면을 감싸는 둘 이상의 전지셀 수납부들을 포함하고 있는 팩 프레임(pack frame); 및
상기 개방된 상면 또는 하면을 감싸도록, 팩 프레임에 장착되는 커버 부재;
를 추가로 포함하고,
상기 보호회로기판은 서로 대면하는 전지셀들 사이에서 전극 단자들에 전기적으로 연결되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩. - 제 1 항, 제 7 항 내지 제 15 항 중 어느 하나에 따른 전지팩을 제조하는 방법으로서,
전지셀 배열체를 팩 프레임에 장착하는 과정;
상기 전지셀 배열체 사이 보호회로기판을 위치시키는 과정;
전극 단자들에 형성된 체결용 관통구들에 보호회로기판의 돌출 체결부들을 삽입하는 과정;
삽입된 돌출 체결부에서, 체결용 관통구를 통해 외측으로 돌출된 부위를 가압 지그로 가압시켜 돌출 체결부가 전극 단자의 상면에 밀착되도록 확장 변형시키는 과정; 및
상기 팩 프레임에 커버를 결합하는 과정;
을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법. - 제 16 항에 따른 방법에 이용되는 가압 지그로서,
상기 가압 지그는, 돌출 체결부를 통해 플레이트 부의 개구와 접속단의 개구를 연속적으로 통과하도록 구성되어 있는 버링부(burring portion); 및
상기 버링부로부터 연장되어 있고, 버링부가 상기 개구를 통과할 때, 돌출 체결부의 단부를 가압하도록 구성되어 있는 가압부;
를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가압 지그. - 제 17 항에 있어서, 상기 버링부는 개구쪽 방향으로 수직 단면적이 감소하는 테이퍼 구조로 이루어져 있으며,
상기 돌출 체결부는 버링부가 개구를 통과할 때, 상기 버링부의 테이퍼 구조에 대응하여 확장 및 연신되면서 변형되고,
상기 가압부는 변형된 돌출 체결부를 가압하여, 이를 전극 단자의 상면에 밀착시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 가압 지그. - 제 18 항에 있어서, 상기 버링부의 최대 수직 단면적은 개구의 면적 대비 110% 내지 130%인 것을 특징으로 하는 가압 지그.
- 제 1 항, 제 7 항 내지 제 15 항 중 어느 하나에 따른 전지팩을 하나 이상 포함하는 디바이스.
