일반적으로 쿨링감을 느낄 수 있는 제품들은 대부분 에탄올과 같은 휘발성이 있는 성분, 또는 멘톨(menthol)이나 그의 유도체를 포함함으로써 쿨링감을 부여한다. 이러한 방법들은 쿨링감을 부여하는데 효과적이지만, 에탄올과 같은 휘발성 성분은 제형들이 큰 차이 없이 획일화 되는 경향을 보이며, 멘톨은 이의 피부 자극성으로 인하여 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물에서는 더욱 사용이 제한된다. 따라서, 새로운 사용감을 느낄 수 있으면서 쿨링감을 부여할 수 있는 새로운 제형이 요구된다.
분사 가스를 함유하는 에어로졸의 경우 가스와 분사압 때문에 사용에 제한이 있었다. 가스로 쿨링감을 소량 부여하는 것은 가능하나, 제형 자체에서 가스로 인한 방법 외에는, 쿨링감을 느낄 수 있는 제형은 없었다. 따라서, 쿨링감을 부여할 수 있는 새로운 에어로졸 제형의 제품에 대한 요구는 계속 늘어나고 있다.
또한, 기존에 연구된 탈크 및 부탄을 함유하는 청량감을 갖는 피부보습용 화장료 조성물, 에어로졸 제형의 클렌징용 화장료 조성물 등은 피부에 쿨링감을 부여하는 기능을 갖지만, 알카놀아마이드 계면활성제를 사용하여 이층상 구조가 불가능하며, 보습감을 떨어뜨리는 높은 단가의 폴리메틸메타아크릴레이트 파우더를 포함하고, 자외선 차단 기능을 가질 수 없는 단점이 있다.
이러한 배경 하에, 본 발명자들은 자외선 차단 기능을 가지며 기존과 다른 방법으로 쿨링감 및 새로운 사용감을 부여할 수 있는, 가스와 하나의 겔(gel) 형태를 이루는 이층상 또는 단일상 액제 구조의 화장료 조성물을 완성하였다.
일 양상은 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스(Hydroxyethyl-cellulose) 및 자외선 차단제를 포함하는 에어로졸 원액; 및 에어로졸 분사제를 포함하는 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물을 제공한다.
일 양상은 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스(Hydroxyethyl-cellulose) 및 자외선 차단제를 포함하는 에어로졸 원액, 에어로졸 분사제를 포함하는 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물을 제공한다.
상기 에어로졸(aerosol)은 물리학적으로 기체 중에 고체 혹은 액체의 미립자가 분산되어 있는 콜로이드 상태를 의미한다. 상기 에어로졸 제형의 화장료 조성물은 내압 밀폐 용기 내에 분사시키는 에어로졸 원액과 분사제를 넣어, 분사시 분사제 압력으로 인해 화장료를 균일하게 분사시키는 분무제를 의미할 수 있다.
상기 에어로졸 분사제는 화장료 조성물에 사용될 수 있는 어떤 에어로졸 분사제라면 제한 없이 사용될 수 있다. 구체적으로, 상기 에어로졸 분사제는 질소, 액화석유가스(LPG), 액화천연가스(LNG), 디메칠에테르(DME) 및 테트라플루오르프로펜(HFO-1234ZE)으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다.
상기 에어로졸 분사제는 상기 화장료 조성물 총 중량 대비 10 내지 70 중량%, 구체적으로는 20 내지 70 중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 30 내지 70 중량%, 보다 더 구체적으로는 40 내지 60 중량%로 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 에어로졸 원액은 화장료 조성물 전체에서 에어로졸 분사제를 제외한 나머지 물질로서, 특정 효과를 얻기 위하여 분사되는 유효 물질을 의미할 수 있다. 에어로졸 원액은 액체, 분말, 또는 크림 상태일 수 있으나, 특별히 이에 제한되는 것은 아니다.
상기 에어로졸 원액은 점증제 및 자외선 차단제를 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 점증제는 증점제와 상호교환적으로 사용되며, 화장료 조성물의 점도를 증가시키는 물질을 모두 포함할 수 있다. 무기 점증제, 유기 점증제 또는 이들의 조합일 수 있다. 구체적으로, 상기 점증제는 벤토나이트, 헥토라이트, 피브이피, 리튬마그네슘소듐실리케이트, 소듐폴리아크릴레이트, 소듐폴리아크릴레이트스타치, 옥수수전분, 소듐스테아레이트 잔탄검, 암모늄아클릴로일디메틸아우레이트/브이피코폴리머, 아크릴레이트/C10-30알킬아크릴레이트 크로스폴리머, 카보머, 마이크로크리스탈린셀룰로오즈, 셀룰로오즈검, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다.
상기 점증제는 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스(Hydroxyethyl-cellulose)일 수 있다. 일 구체예에서, 상기 에어로졸 제형의 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물은 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 포함하여 피부 쿨링감 및 새로운 사용감을 부여할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 구체적으로, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스는 상기 에어로졸 제형의 화장료 조성물이 분사되는 경우 분사 가스의 포집 기능을 극대화하여, 기존에 사용되었던 폴리메칠메타아크릴레이트가 없이도, 분사시 성상을 조절하여 피부에 쿨링 효과 및 새로운 사용감을 부여할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 상기 조성물은 기존에 쿨링감을 부여하기 위해 사용되었던 알코올류와 같은 휘발성 성분이나 멘톨 등을 함유하지 않고도, 개선된 쿨링 효과를 나타낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.
상기 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스는 상기 에어로졸 원액 총 중량 대비 0.1 내지 2.0 중량%, 구체적으로는 0.3 내지 1.8 중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 0.4% 내지 1.6 중량%, 보다 더 구체적으로는 0.5 내지 1.2 중량%로 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 자외선 차단제는 화장료 조성물에 통상적으로 사용되는 자외선 차단 목적의 물질이라면 제한 없이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 자외선 차단제는 유기 자외선 차단제, 무기 자외선 차단제 또는 이들의 조합일 수 있다. 상기 유기 자외선 차단제는 호모살레이트, 에칠헥실살리실레이트, 페닐벤즈이미다졸설포닉애씨드, 옥토크릴렌, 에칠헥실메톡시신나메이트, 부틸메톡시디벤조일메탄, 비스-에칠헥실옥시페놀메톡시페닐트리아진, 에칠아미노하이드록시벤조일헥실벤조에이트, 에칠헥실트리아존, 이소아밀파라-메톡시신나메이트, 디소듐페닐디벤즈이미다졸테트라설포네이트, 4-메칠벤질리덴캠퍼로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다. 상기 무기 자외선 차단제는 이산화티탄, 산화아연 및 산화지르코늄으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다.
상기 화장료 조성물은 단일상의 에멀젼(emulsion)이 아닌 두 개 이상의 섞이지 않는 성분으로 인하여 성분들이 층을 이루고 있는 층상 화장료 조성물일 수 있다. 상기 층상 화장료 조성물은 수상층; 및 상기 수상층과 분리된 하나 이상의 유상층을 포함하여 분리되어 있으며, 바람직하게는 2층 또는 3층으로 분리될 수 있다. 이때, 상기 수상층 및 유상층은 화장료 조성물의 조성에 따라서 그 층의 순서가 변동될 수 있다.
상기 유상층은 오일, 유상층에 섞이는 성분 또는 상기 유기 자외선 차단제를 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 오일 및 유상층에 섞이는 성분들은 화장료 조성물에 포함되어 유용한 것은 모두 포함될 수 있다. 상기 유상층은 층상 구조에 따라서 에스터계 오일, 예를 들어 디펜타에리스리틸헥사C5-9애씨드에스터, C12-15알킬옥타노에이트, 미리스틸락테이트, 세틸에칠헥사노에이트, 네오펜틸글리콜디카프레이트, 세틸옥타노에이트, 이소프로필미리스테이트, 옥틸도데실미리스테이트, 헥실라우레이트, 디(C12-C13)알킬말레이트, 미리스틸락테이트, 옥틸도데실스테아로일스테아레이트, 디이소테아릴말레이트, 펜타에리스틸테트라에틸헥사노에이트, 디글리세릴 트리이소테아레이트(diglyceryl triisostearate) 등; 식물성 오일, 예를 들어 올리브 오일, 포도씨 오일, 마카다미아 오일, 호호바 오일, 캐스터 오일, 해바라기씨 오일, 라벤더 오일 등; 실리콘 오일, 예를 들어 사이클로펜타실록산, 사이클로헥사실록산, 사이클로헵타실록산, 사이클로메치콘, 사이클로페닐메치콘, 사이클로테트라실록산, 사이클로트리실록산, 디메치콘, 디메치콘올, 페닐메치콘, 트리플루오로프로필메치콘, 메칠크트리메치콘, 페닐트리메치콘 또는 이들의 2 이상의 혼합물일 수 있다. 상기 실리콘 오일은 에스터계 오일 또는 식물성 오일과 상용성이 좋은 실리콘 오일을 사용하는 경우 수상층을 포함하여 2층상 구조를 가질 수 있으며, 디메치콘, 디메치콘올 등을 이용하는 경우에는 다른 비중을 갖도록 설계하여 수상층을 포함하여 3층상의 구조를 가질 수 있다. 또한, 상기 오일 이외에 유상층에 섞이는 성분으로서, 세드롤, 토코페롤 또는 레티놀 등을 포함할 수 있으며, 화장료 조성물에 포함되어 유용한 것은 제한 없이 포함될 수 있다. 이때, 상기 유상층에 섞이는 성분은 본 발명에 따른 층상 화장료 조성물의 다층 형성을 저해하지 않는 정도로 포함할 수 있다.
상기 오일은 상기 화장료 조성물 총 중량 대비 1.0 내지 50 중량%, 구체적으로는 10 내지 50 중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 20 내지 50 중량%, 보다 더 구체적으로는 30 내지 50 중량%로 포함할 수 있다. 일 구체예에서, 상기 화장료 조성물은 고농도의 오일을 함유하더라도 제형이 안정적으로 유지됨을 확인하였다.
상기 화장료 조성물은 계면활성제를 포함하는 단일상의 조성물일 수 있다. 상기 계면활성제는 음이온계면활성제, 양이온계면활성제, 비이온계면활성제, 양쪽이온성계면활성제 또는 이들의 조합으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다. 상기 계면 활성제는 상기 화장료 조성물 총 중량 대비 0.1 내지 2.0 중량%, 구체적으로는 0.1 내지 0.8 중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 0.1% 내지 0.7 중량%, 보다 더 구체적으로는 0.1 내지 0.5 중량%로 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 화장료 조성물은 착색제를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 착색제는 피부 또는 피부에 존재하는 모발에 도포하여 의도하고자 하는 색을 발색할 수 있는 것이고, 상기 화장료 조성물이 의도하는 효과를 저해하지 않는 것이라면 제한 없이 포함될 수 있다. 상기 착색제는 백색 착색제, 유색 착색제 또는 이들의 조합으로부터 선택될 수 있다. 상기 착색제는 상기 화장료 조성물 총 중량 대비 1.0 내지 15 중량%, 구체적으로는 1.0 내지 10 중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 1.0% 내지 8.0 중량%, 보다 더 구체적으로는 1.0 내지 6.0 중량%로 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
상기 화장료 조성물은 보습 및 용제의 목적으로 폴리올 또는 이의 유도체를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 폴리올은 1분자 내에 다수의 수산기를 가지는 알코올로서, 이 분야에서 보습제로 알려진 것이면 제한 없이 포함할 수 있다. 구체적으로 상기 폴리올은 글리세린, 디글리세린, 1,2-헥산디올, 1,3-부탄디올, 1,4-부탄디올, 1,5-펜탄디올, 소르비톨, 만니톨, 아라비톨, 자일리톨, 부틸렌글리콜, 프로필렌글리콜, 에틸렌글리콜, 테트라메틸렌글리콜, 디에틸렌글리콜, 디프로필렌글리콜, 헥실렌글리콜, 펜틸렌글리콜, 펜타에리스리톨, 폴리에틸렌글리콜, 트리메틸올프로판 및 프로판디올로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다.
상기 화장료 조성물은 필요에 따라 분산제, 체질안료, 착색제, 산화방지제, 방부제, pH 조절제, 보습제, 윤활제 등의 성분을 더 첨가할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물은 피부에 필수 영양소를 보조적으로 제공할 수 있는 물질을 추가로 포함하는데, 바람직하게는 천연향, 화장품향, 또는 식물추출물이 포함되지만 이들에 국한되지 않는 보조제를 함유할 수 있다.
에어로졸 제형의 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물은 비점이 낮은 분사제와 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 이용하여 분사시 쿨링감과 새로운 사용감을 부여할 수 있다.

이하 실시예를 통하여 보다 상세하게 설명한다. 그러나, 이들 실시예는 예시적으로 설명하기 위한 것으로 본 발명의 범위가 이들 실시예에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
실시예 1 내지 4. 에어로졸 원액의 제조
하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스 및 자외선 차단제를 함유하는 에어로졸 원액을 제조하기 위해, 하기 표 1의 성분을 포함하고, 하기 표 2에 기재된 함량 비율로 이루어진 에어로졸 원액 실시예 1 내지 4, 및 비교예 1 내지 2를 제조하였다.

구체적으로, 정제수에 기타 첨가제와 폴리올, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 비이커에 계량하여 75℃ 내외의 온도에서 유화믹서를 이용하여 3000 rpm으로 균일하게 혼합하였다. 이와 함께 비이커에 자외선 차단제를 계량하여 75℃ 내외의 온도로 녹인 후, 상기 비이커에 혼합하여 3000 rpm에서 10분간 균일하게 혼합하였다. 이후, 기타 첨가제를 혼합한 후 냉각하며 기포를 제거하였다.
그 결과, 에어로졸 원액은 정제수, 폴리올, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스, 유상을 포함하며, 상기 유상에는 오일, 유상층에 섞이는 성분, 또는 유기 자외선 차단제를 포함하도록 제조하였다. 또한, 실시예 4의 에어로졸 원액은 무기 자외선 차단제를 더 포함하도록 제조하였다.
구체적으로, 하기 표 2의 성분을 포함하는 실시예 1 내지 4, 및 비교예 1 내지 2의 에어로졸 원액을 제조하였다.

실시예 5 내지 10. 에어로졸 제형의 화장료 조성물 제조
에어로졸 제형의 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물을 제조하기 위해, 상기 실시예 1 내지 4, 및 비교예 1 내지 2의 에어로졸 원액을 사용하였고, 이층상 액제를 제조한 후, 내압 용기에 적정 비율로 이를 충진하여 에어로졸 화장료 조성물을 제조하였다.
구체적으로, 하기 표 3에 기재된 에어로졸 원액의 함량, 에어로졸 분사제의 종류 및 함량에 따라, 실시예 5 내지 10, 및 비교예 3 내지 6의 화장료 조성물을 제조하였다.
실험예 1. 화장료 조성물의 제형 형성, 쿨링감 및 사용감 평가
상기 실시예 5 내지 10, 및 비교예 3 내지 6의 화장료 조성물에 대한 육안 평가 및 사용감 평가를 수행하였다.
구체적으로, 육안 평가를 통해 에어로졸 제형의 형성 여부를 확인하였다. 쿨링감 평가는 사내 효능 평가를 통하여 도포 후 시간에 따라 피부 온도를 측정함으로써 평가하였다. 사용감 평가는 25세 ~ 35세 사이의 9명의 패널을 대상으로 사용감에 대한 참신성을 10점 만점 기준으로 평가하였다.
상기 결과는 하기 표 4에 나타내었고, 상기 제조된 제형의 분사 후 모습을 육안으로 관찰한 결과를 도 1에 나타내었다.

상기 표 4에 나타낸 바와 같이, 에어로졸 분사제 함량이 10 중량% 미만인 비교예 3의 조성물은 에어로졸 제형이 형성되지 않았고, 에어로졸 분사제 함량이 70 중량% 초과인 비교예 4의 조성물은 날림이 심하여 사용성이 좋지 않았다. 또한, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스가 포함되지 않은 비교예 5의 조성물은 적정량의 에어로졸 분사제가 함유되었음에도 불구하고 에어로졸 제형 형성되지 않았다. 또한, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스가 과도하게 포함된 비교예 6의 조성물 역시 에어로졸 제형이 형성되지 않았다.
또한, 실시예 7의 조성물은 상기 비교예 5의 조성물과 동일한 함량 비율로 에어로졸 분사제를 포함하고 있음에도 불구하고, 에어로졸 원액에 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 포함함으로써 에어로졸 제형이 형성되며, 쿨링감 및 사용감의 참신성 부여의 높은 효과를 나타냄을 확인하였다.
즉, 에어로졸 원액에 유상, 구체적으로는 오일을 높은 함량으로 포함하고 있더라도, 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 포함함으로써 에어로졸 제형이 형성 가능하며, 쿨링감 및 개선된 사용감을 부여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
또한, 도 1에 나타낸 바와 같이, 상기 실시예 5 내지 10의 에어로졸 제형이 형성된 화장료 조성물은 분사시 슬러시 상태로 분사됨을 확인하였다.
실험예 2. 화장료 조성물의 관능 평가
상기 실시예 5 내지 10, 및 비교예 3의 에어로졸 제형의 화장료 조성물에 대한 관능 평가를 수행하였다. 구체적으로, 관능 평가는 25세 ~ 35세 사이의 9명의 패널을 대상으로 새로운 사용감에 대하여 10점 만점 기준으로 평가하였다.
상기 결과는 하기 표 5에 나타내었다.

상기 표 5에 나타낸 바와 같이, 다소 간의 개인차는 있었으나, 대부분의 평가자들은 실시예 1 내지 4의 에어로졸 원료를 이용하여 제조된 실시예 5 내지 10의 화장료 조성물에서 개선된 사용감을 느꼈다고 평가하였다. 특히, 에어로졸 분사제를 40 내지 60 중량%로 함유하는 실시예 7 내지 10의 화장료 조성물의 관능 평가 점수를 높게 평가하였다. 이에 반해, 실시예 2의 에어로졸 원료를 이용하더라도 분사제 함량이 5 중량%로 포함하는 비교예 3의 경우에는 원하는 에어로졸 제형이 형성되지 않으며, 개선된 사용감을 느낄 수 없다고 평가하였다.
실험예 3. 화장료 조성물의 도포에 따른 피부 표면 온도의 감소 효과 확인
상기 실시예 7의 조성물을 피부에 도포하여 피부 표면 온도의 감소 효과를 확인하였다. 구체적으로, 5명의 패널을 대상으로 팔 부분에 도포 영역 및 무도포 영역을 지정하였다. 상기 조성물을 도포하기 전과 도포한 후의 열 적외선 사진을 각각 촬영하여 비교하였다. 상기 열 적외선 사진에서는 보라색, 빨간색, 검은색 영역들이 관찰되며, 보라색에 가까울수록 온도가 낮음을 의미한다.
그 결과, 도 2에 나타낸 바와 같이, 상기 조성물을 도포하기 전에는 도포 영역과 무도표 영역 간의 육안 상의 차이가 관찰되지 않았으나, 상기 조성물을 도포한 후에는 도포 영역에서 육안 상으로도 유의적인 피부 온도 감소 효과가 나타남을 확인하였다.
또한, 상기 조성물의 도포 전과 후의 평균 피부 표면 온도를 측정하였다. 상기 조성물을 도포하기 전의 평균 피부 표면 온도는 26.3 ℃ 이었고, 이를 기준으로 하여 표면 온도 감소율을 확인하였다.
그 결과, 도 3에 나타낸 바와 같이, 상기 조성물을 도포하지 않은 경우에는 피부 표면 온도 변화율이 미미하였으며, 오히려 주변 환경 영향 등으로 인해 피부 표면 온도 증가가 나타나기도 하였다. 이와 달리, 상기 조성물을 도포할 경우에는 평균 피부 표면 온도는 26.3 ℃에서 24.0℃로 감소하여, 약 8.7%의 피부 표면 온도 감소율을 나타냄을 확인하였다.
이상의 결과로부터, 상기 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물은 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스를 포함함으로써, 단순히 에어로졸 제형의 가스에 의한 쿨링감에 비해, 개선된 쿨링감을 부여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
또한, 에어로졸 분사제의 경우 10 중량% 미만에서는 원하는 제형이 형성되지 않으며, 70 중량% 초과에서는 분사압이 너무 강하여 동상의 우려와 내용물이 날리는 경향이 있어 사용감이 좋지 않으므로, 에어로졸 분사제는 10 내지 70 중량%로 함유하는 경우, 개선된 쿨링감 및 사용감을 부여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
Claims (7)
- 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스(Hydroxyethyl-cellulose) 및 자외선 차단제를 포함하는 에어로졸 원액; 및
에어로졸 분사제를 포함하는 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물로서,
상기 조성물은 조성물 총 중량 대비 상기 에어로졸 분사제를 10 내지 70 중량%로 함유하고,
상기 에어로졸 원액은 원액 총 중량 대비 상기 하이드록시에칠-셀룰로오스(Hydroxyethyl-cellulose)를 0.1 내지 1.6 중량%로 함유하는 것인 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물.

- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 에어로졸 분사제는 질소, 액화석유가스(LPG), 액화천연가스(LNG), 디메칠에테르(DME) 및 테트라플루오르프로펜(HFO-1234ZE)으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상인 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 자외선 차단제는 호모살레이트, 에칠헥실살리실레이트, 페닐벤즈이미다졸설포닉애씨드, 옥토크릴렌, 에칠헥실메톡시신나메이트, 부틸메톡시디벤조일메탄, 비스-에칠헥실옥시페놀메톡시페닐트리아진, 에칠아미노하이드록시벤조일헥실벤조에이트, 에칠헥실트리아존, 이소아밀파라-메톡시신나메이트, 디소듐페닐디벤즈이미다졸테트라설포네이트, 4-메칠벤질리덴캠퍼로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상인 자외선 차단용 화장료 조성물.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 조성물은 상기 에어로졸 원액 및 상기 에어로졸 분사제를 포함하는 수상층 및 상기 수상층과 분리된 유상층을 포함하고;
상기 유상층은 조성물 총 중량 대비 오일을 1.0 내지 50 중량%로 포함하는 화장료 조성물.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 조성물은 분사시 슬러시 상태로 분사되는 화장료 조성물.
