도 1a는 일부 예시적인 실시예들에 따른, 배터리 셀을 위한 절연된 하우징을 도시하는 단면도이다.
도 1b는 일부 예시적인 실시예들에 따른, 절연체 및 하부 부분 상의 열전도 층을 포함하는 배터리 셀을 위한 절연된 하우징을 도시하는 단면도이다.
도 1c는 일부 예시적인 실시예들에 따른, 제1 배터리 셀과 제2 배터리 셀 사이에 배치된 절연체를 갖는 배터리 팩을 도시하는 사시도이다.

Claims (121)
- 장치로서,
제1 배터리 셀 및 제2 배터리 셀; 및
상기 제1 배터리 셀과 상기 제2 배터리 셀 사이에 배치된 절연체
를 포함하고,
상기 절연체는,
다공성 구조를 갖는 무기 단열 재료; 및
상기 다공성 구조 내에 배치되는, 휘발 온도에서 휘발하는 바인더를 포함하며,
상기 절연체는 적어도 10 부피%의 바인더를 포함하고,
상기 바인더의 휘발 후 상기 절연체의 열전도도는 25℃에서 0.05 W/m·K 미만이고,
상기 절연체의 열전도도는 상기 바인더의 휘발 전에 25℃에서 0.1 W/m·K 초과인, 장치. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다공성 구조는 500 nm 미만의 평균 기공 직경을 갖는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 서로 접촉하게 배치되어 상기 다공성 구조를 한정하는 단열 나노입자를 포함하는, 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 단열 나노입자는 100 nm 미만의 평균 입자 크기를 갖는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 실리카, 탄소, 지르코니아, 티타니아 및 세라믹으로부터 선택되는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 바인더는 폴리알킬 카보네이트, 폴리아크릴레이트, 폴리에테르, 폴리아릴 카보네이트, 폴리올, 폴리테트라플루오로펜틸렌(PTFE), 폴리비닐 알코올, 리그노설포네이트, 메틸셀룰로오스, 파라핀, 실리콘, 유기-실란, 전분, 덱스트린 및 왁스 에멀젼으로부터 선택된 재료인, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 바인더는 폴리프로필렌 카보네이트, 폴리에틸렌 카보네이트 및 폴리헥산 카보네이트로부터 선택되는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 바인더는 1 기압에서 500℃ 이하의 휘발 온도를 갖는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료와 접촉하는 섬유질 재료를 더 포함하는, 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 탄화규소, 티타니아 또는 탄소질 재료로부터 선택된 불투명체(opacifier)를 더 포함하는, 장치.
- 장치로서,
제1 배터리 셀 및 제2 배터리 셀; 및
상기 제1 배터리 셀과 상기 제2 배터리 셀 사이에 배치된 중합체 코팅된 절연체
를 포함하고,
상기 중합체 코팅된 절연체는,
무기 단열 재료; 및
상기 무기 단열 재료의 표면 상에 배치되고 상기 무기 단열 재료 내로 적어도 평균 10 마이크로미터 침투하는 중합체 코팅을 포함하며,
상기 절연체의 열전도도는 25℃에서 0.05 W/m·K 미만인, 장치. - 제11항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 서로 접촉하게 배치되어 500 nm 미만의 평균 기공 직경(mean pore diameter)을 갖는 다공성 구조를 한정하는 단열 나노입자를 포함하는, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 실리카, 탄소, 지르코니아, 티타니아 및 세라믹으로부터 선택되는, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 흄드(fumed) 실리카 또는 실리카 에어로겔을 포함하는 세라믹 나노입자를 포함하는, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 상기 무기 단열 재료는 상기 절연체의 적어도 5 부피%인, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 상기 중합체 코팅은 300 마이크로미터 이하의 두께를 갖는, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 상기 중합체 코팅은 폴리우레탄, 에폭시, 폴리아크릴레이트, 폴리에스테르 및 폴리이미드로부터 선택되는 재료인, 장치.
- 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서, 250℃ 초과의 온도에서 1x104 m-1 초과의 평균 소광 계수(mean extinction coefficient)를 갖는 불투명체를 포함하는, 장치.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 불투명체는 탄화규소, 티타니아 또는 탄소질 재료를 포함하는, 장치.
