Claims (13)
- 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매(double-layer three-way catalyst)로서, 상기 이중 층 3원 촉매는
활성 알루미나, 세륨/지르코늄 혼합 산화물 및 촉매 활성 귀금속으로서의 팔라듐을 포함하는, 상기 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 제1 층, 및
활성 알루미나 및 촉매 활성 귀금속으로서의 로듐을 포함하고, 네오디뮴/지르코늄 혼합 산화물을 포함하며, 상기 제1 층에 도포되어 정화(purification)하고자 하는 배기 가스와 직접 접촉하는 제2 층
을 포함하고,
상기 제2 층은, 세륨 및 세륨 함유 물질들을 포함하지 않고, 로듐 이외의 어떠한 촉매 활성 귀금속도 포함하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 층의 상기 세륨/지르코늄 혼합 산화물 중의 산화지르코늄에 대한 산화세륨의 중량비가 0.1 내지 1.2인 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1 층이 팔라듐 이외의 어떠한 촉매 활성 귀금속도 포함하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 층 중의 로듐이, 활성 알루미나와 네오디뮴/지르코늄 혼합 산화물 둘 다의 위에 침착되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2 층의 상기 네오디뮴/지르코늄 혼합 산화물 중의 산화지르코늄에 대한 산화네오디뮴의 중량비가 0.2 내지 0.5인 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제2 층이 상기 제1 층을 완전히 덮고 있는 것(cover)을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 이중 층 3원 촉매가, 상기 불활성 촉매 지지체와 상기 제1 층 사이에 중간층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 중간층은 활성 알루미나를 포함하고 백금족 금속들을 포함하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 불활성 촉매 지지체가, 허니컴(honeycomb) 구조를 갖는 유동-관통형 모놀리스(flow-through monolith)인 것을 특징으로 하는, 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 따른 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매를 배기 가스와 접촉시키는 것을 포함하는, 가솔린 엔진이 장착된 자동차의 배기 가스를 클리닝(cleaning)하기 위한 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 따른 불활성 촉매 지지체 상의 이중 층 3원 촉매 및 가솔린 미립자 필터(GPF: gasoline particulate filter)를 포함하는 배기 가스 처리 시스템.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 가솔린 미립자 필터가, 허니컴 구조를 갖는 벽-유동형 모놀리스(wall-flow monolith)인 것을 특징으로 하는, 배기 가스 처리 시스템.
