도 2는 종래의 편광판 구조를 개략적으로 도시한 도면으로, 상부 편광판에 해당한다.
도 3은 도 2의 편광판을 통과한 빛의 편광 상태와 편광 선글라스의 흡수축을 나타내는 포앵카레구를 도시한 도면이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 광시야각 액정표시장치의 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 5는 도 4의 제1편광판을 통과한 빛의 편광 상태와 편광 선글라스의 흡수축을 나타내는 포앵카레구를 도시한 도면이다.
도 6은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 액정표시장치에서 빛의 편광 상태를 나타내는 포앵카레구를 도시한 도면이다.

Claims (10)
- 액정패널과;
상기 액정패널의 제1면에 부착되고, 제1편광필름과, 상기 제1편광필름의 일면에 위치하는 제1 및 제2광학보상필름과, 상기 제1편광필름의 타면에 위치하는 위상지연필름, 지지필름 그리고 기능성필름을 포함하는 제1편광판;
상기 액정패널의 제2면에 부착되고, 제2편광필름과, 상기 제2편광필름의 일면에 위치하는 내부 지지필름과, 상기 제2편광필름의 타면에 위치하는 외부 지지필름을 포함하는 제2편광판
을 포함하고,
상기 제1편광필름은 상기 위상지연필름과 상기 액정패널 사이에 위치하며, 상기 위상지연필름은 λ/4의 위상지연값을 가지며,
상기 지지필름은 아크릴계 물질로 이루어지고, 상기 위상지연필름과 상기 기능성필름 사이에 위치하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제1광학보상필름은 네거티브 B 플레이트이고, 상기 제2광학보상필름은 포지티브 C 플레이트인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,
상기 제2광학보상필름이 상기 제1광학보상필름과 상기 액정패널 사이에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,
상기 제1광학보상필름은 평면방향의 위상지연값이 120±10nm이고, 두께방향의 위상지연값이 100±30nm이며, 상기 제2광학보상필름은 두께방향의 위상지연값이 -130±30nm인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 위상지연필름은 반응성 메조겐으로 이루어지고, 상기 지지필름과 상기 위상지연필름 사이에는 배향막이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,
상기 제2광학보상필름은 디스코틱 액정으로 이루어지고, 상기 제1광학보상필름과 상기 제2광학보상필름 사이에는 배향막이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 기능성필름은 정전기 방지층 및 하드 코팅층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.

- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 외부 지지필름 바깥쪽 면에 휘도향상필름을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 아크릴계 물질은 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트를 기본으로 지방족 고리 또는 방향족 고리를 포함하는 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체와 (메트)아크릴아마이드계 단량체를 포함하는 액정표시장치.
