NIH/3T3 cell를 이용하여 광독성 물질로 알려진 CPZ(chloropromazine)를 positive control로 골담초 고체 발효물의 NRU phototoxicity를 측정하였다(도 7 및 도 8). 골담초 원물 추출물의 MPE 값은 0.118, PIF 값이 7.057로 PIF값이 5보다 높은 것으로 확인되어 광독성이 있는 것으로 판정되었으며, 골담초 발효 상황버섯 추출물도 MPE 값이 0.007, PIF 값이 13.815로 PIF > 5 범위에 속해 광독성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 골담초 발효 영지버섯에서는 MPE 값이 0.297, PIF 값이 1.890으로 MPE > 0.15의 범위에 속해 광독성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 반면, 골담초 발효 동충하초 추출물에서는 MPE 값이 0.010, PIF 값이 1.000으로 MPE < 0.1, PIF < 2의 범위에 속해 광독성이 없는 것으로 판정되었다. 이상의 결과는 골담초 원물 추출물의 경우 광독성의 위험성이 있으나, 동충하초를 사용한 고체 발효를 통하여 광독성을 방지하고, 자외선으로부터 피부를 보호하는 효과를 나타낼 수 있는 것으로 사료된다.The NRU phototoxicity of the fermented bean curd solids was measured using CPZ (chloropromazine) known as a phototoxic substance as a positive control using NIH / 3T3 cells (FIGS. 7 and 8).
