Abstract
상기 배향막은 기판 상에 제1 주쇄를 형성하는 제1 물질 및 제2 주쇄를 형성하는 제2 물질을 포함하고, 상기 제1 물질은 광경화제들과 결합되고, 상기 제2 물질은 수직배향기들과 결합되며, 상기 광경화제들은 서로 가교결합하여 상기 기판에 대해 선경사각으로 기울어지게 배열되고, 상기 수직배향기들은 상기 기판에 대해 실질적으로 수직으로 배열되고, 및 상기 제1 물질과 상기 제2 물질이 서로 다른 것을 포함한다.

도 2a 내지 도 2e는 본 발명의 한 실시예인 SC-VA 모드에 따라 액정표시판 조립체의 표면 광경화제층과 주배향막이 형성되는 과정을 순차적으로 도시한 단면도이고,
도 3는 DC 전압을 액정표시판 조립체에 공급하는 파형도이고,
도 4는 다단계(Multi-Step) 전압을 액정표시판 조립체에 공급하는 파형도이고, 및
도 5은 SC-VA 모드 특성을 가진 액정표시장치의 한 화소(PX)를 전압의 세기에 따라 촬영한 전자 현미경 사진들이다.

Claims (24)
- 기판 상에 제1 주쇄를 형성하는 제1 물질 및 제2 주쇄를 형성하는 제2 물질을 포함하고,
상기 제1 물질은 광경화제들과 결합되고, 상기 제2 물질은 수직배향기들과 결합되며,
상기 광경화제들은 서로 가교결합하여 상기 기판에 대해 선경사각으로 기울어지게 배열되고,
상기 수직배향기들은 상기 기판에 대해 실질적으로 수직으로 배열되고,
상기 제1 물질과 상기 제2 물질이 서로 다르고,
상기 제1 물질은 소수성을 갖는 폴리에틸렌을 포함하고, 상기 제2 물질은 친수성을 갖는 폴리이미드를 포함하고,
가교제는 상기 광경화제들과 폴리이미드와 결합됨을 특징으로 하는 배향막. - 삭제
