도 2 는 증발 연료 처리 장치를 포함하는 엔진 시스템의 개략 블록도이다.

도 5 는 증발 연료가 연료 탱크로부터 유출될 때의 캐니스터의 온도 변화를 나타내는 타임 차트이다.
도 6 은 증발 연료가 연료 탱크로부터 유출될 때의 캐니스터에 있어서의 증발 연료의 농도 변화를 나타내는 타임 차트이다.
도 7 은 증발 연료가 연료 탱크로부터 유출될 때의 엔진에 있어서의 공연비 제어를 위한 연료 분사 보정량의 변화를 나타내는 타임 차트이다.
도 8 은 압력 센서의 압력에 대한 출력을 나타내는 특성도이다.

Claims (6)
- 증발 연료 처리 장치로서,
연료 탱크로부터의 증발 연료를 흡착하고 또한 흡착한 상기 증발 연료를 엔진에 퍼지하는 캐니스터와,
상기 증발 연료가 상기 연료 탱크로부터 유출되는 것에 수반하여 신호가 변화하는 증발 연료 유출 검출 수단과,
상기 연료 탱크의 내압을 검출하는 압력 센서와,
상기 압력 센서에 의해 검출되는 압력이 변화하지 않는 안정 상태에 있는지의 여부를 검출하는 압력 변화 검출 수단과,
상기 증발 연료 유출 검출 수단에 의해 상기 연료 탱크로부터 상기 증발 연료가 유출된 것이 검출되고, 또한 상기 압력 변화 검출 수단에 의해 상기 안정 상태에 있는 것이 검출되면, 상기 압력 센서가 고장이라고 판정하는 압력 센서 고장 판정 수단을 구비하는 증발 연료 처리 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 증발 연료 유출 검출 수단은, 상기 캐니스터의 온도를 검출하는 온도 센서와, 상기 온도 센서로부터의 검출 신호에 기초하여 상기 캐니스터의 온도가 소정 온도 이상일 때, 또는 온도 상승이 소정값 이상일 때, 상기 연료 탱크로부터 증발 연료가 유출되었다고 검출하는 제 1 제어 회로를 갖는 증발 연료 처리 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 연료 탱크와 상기 캐니스터를 연통시키는 베이퍼 통로에 개재 삽입되어 상기 베이퍼 통로를 개폐하는 봉쇄 밸브와,
상기 캐니스터와 상기 엔진을 연통시키는 퍼지 통로에 개재 삽입되어 상기 퍼지 통로를 개폐하는 퍼지 밸브와,
상기 캐니스터로부터 상기 엔진에 공급되는 상기 증발 연료를 고려하여 상기 엔진에 공급되는 혼합기의 공연비를 제어하는 알고리즘을 포함하는 공연비 제어 장치를 구비하고,
상기 증발 연료 유출 검출 수단은, 상기 공연비 제어 장치에 있어서의 제어가, 상기 봉쇄 밸브 및 상기 퍼지 밸브가 열린 상태이고, 또한 상기 퍼지 통로로부터 상기 엔진에 공급되는 증발 연료의 퍼지 농도가 소정값 이상일 때의, 상기 연료 탱크로부터 상기 증발 연료가 유출되었을 때에 있어서의 제어인지의 여부를 판정하는 제 2 제어 회로를 갖는 증발 연료 처리 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 압력 변화 검출 수단은, 상기 압력 센서에 의해 검출되는 압력이 변화하지 않는 안정 상태에 있는지의 여부를 검출하는 제 3 제어 회로를 갖고,
상기 압력 센서 고장 판정 수단은, 상기 압력 센서의 고장의 유무를 판정하는 제 4 제어 회로를 갖는 증발 연료 처리 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 증발 연료 유출 검출 수단에 의해 상기 연료 탱크로부터 상기 증발 연료가 유출된 것이 검출된 후, 소정 시간 이상 경과한 것을 검출하는 경과 시간 검출 수단을 구비하고,
상기 압력 센서 고장 판정 수단은, 상기 경과 시간 검출 수단에 의해 상기 연료 탱크로부터 상기 증발 연료가 유출된 후에 상기 소정 시간 이상 경과한 것이 검출되고, 또한 상기 압력 변화 검출 수단에 의해 상기 안정 상태에 있는 것이 검출되면, 상기 압력 센서를 고장으로 판정하는 증발 연료 처리 장치. - 제 5 항에 있어서,
상기 경과 시간 검출 수단은, 타이머와, 상기 연료 탱크로부터 상기 증발 연료가 유출된 것이 검출된 후, 소정 시간 이상 경과한 것을 상기 타이머로부터의 신호를 사용하여 계측하는 제 5 제어 회로를 갖는 증발 연료 처리 장치.
