Claims (10)
- 후방 프레임(back frame);
상기 후방 프레임 상에 적층된 TFT 기판, 전기영동 필름 및 보호 시트를 포함하고, 표시영역과 주변영역을 갖는 전기영동 표시 패널; 및
상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 표시영역의 적어도 일부가 노출되도록 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역을 커버하는 전방 프레임(front frame)을 포함하되,
상기 전기영동 표시 패널은 상기 주변영역 중에서 상기 보호 시트가 마련된 영역과 중첩되지 않는 영역에 마련되며, 상기 TFT 기판을 관통하며 형성된 홀을 가지며,
상기 전방 프레임 및 상기 후방 프레임 중 적어도 하나는 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 홀에 삽입되는 돌출부를 갖는, 전기영동 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 전기영동 표시 패널은 상기 후방 프레임 상에 적층된 TFT 기판, 전기영동 필름 및 보호 시트를 포함하고,
상기 전기영동 필름은,
공통전극; 및
상기 TFT 기판과 상기 공통전극 사이의 전기영동 분산액을 포함하는, 전기영동 표시장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 TFT 기판은,
금속 기판;
상기 금속 기판 상에 형성된 박막 트랜지스터; 및
상기 박막 트랜지스터와 전기적으로 연결된 화소 전극을 포함하는, 전기영동 표시장치. - 제 3 항에 있어서,
상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역은 상기 금속 기판을 포함하고,
상기 홀은 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역을 관통하여 형성되며,
상기 돌출부의 일부만 상기 홀에 삽입된, 전기영동 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 후방 프레임은 그 둘레부에 여백 영역을 포함하고,
상기 후방 프레임의 여백 영역 바로 위에는 상기 전기영동 표시 패널이 위치하지 않는, 전기영동 표시장치. - TFT 기판, 전기영동 필름 및 보호 시트를 포함하고, 표시영역과 주변영역을 갖는 전기영동 표시 패널을 제조하는 단계;
상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역 중에서 상기 보호 시트가 마련된 영역과 중첩되지 않는 영역에 마련되며, 상기 TFT 기판을 관통하는 홀을 형성하는 단계;
상기 홀을 갖는 전기영동 표시 패널을 후방 프레임 상에 위치시키는 단계;
상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 표시영역의 적어도 일부가 노출되도록 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역을 전방 프레임으로 커버하는 단계; 및
상기 전기영동 표시 패널을 후방 프레임 상에 고정시키는 단계를 포함하되,
상기 고정 단계는 상기 전방 프레임 및 상기 후방 프레임 중 적어도 하나의 돌출부가 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 홀에 삽입됨으로써 수행되는, 전기영동 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 전방 프레임의 돌출부가 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 홀에 삽입됨으로써 상기 고정 단계가 수행되고,
상기 고정 단계는 상기 주변영역의 커버 단계와 동시에 수행되는, 전기영동 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 후방 프레임의 돌출부가 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 홀에 삽입됨으로써 상기 고정 단계가 수행되고,
상기 고정 단계는 상기 전기영동 표시 패널을 상기 후방 프레임에 위치시키는 단계와 동시에 수행되는, 전기영동 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 전기영동 표시 패널을 제조하는 단계는,
금속 기판 상에 박막 트랜지스터를 형성하는 단계; 및
상기 박막 트랜지스터와 전기적으로 연결되는 화소전극을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 전기영동 표시 장치의 제조방법. - 제 9 항에 있어서,
상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역은 상기 금속 기판을 포함하고,
상기 홀은 상기 전기영동 표시 패널의 주변영역을 관통하도록 형성되며,
상기 돌출부의 일부만 상기 홀에 삽입되는, 전기영동 표시 장치의 제조방법.
