Claims (18)
- 수평면 상에서 제1 방향으로 초기 배향된 제1 액정셀을 갖는 반사영역;수평면 상에서 제2 방향으로 초기 배향된 제2 액정셀을 갖는 투과영역;상기 제1 액정셀에 수평전계를 인가하기 위해 서로 수평 방향으로 배열된 화소전극과 반사공통전극;상기 제2 액정셀에 수평전계를 인가하기 위해 상기 화소전극과 수평 방향으로 배열된 투명공통전극; 및상기 제1 액정셀을 수평면에 대해서 경사각을 갖도록 초기 배향 시키기 위해 상기 반사공통전극과 수직으로 배열된 제1 보조전극, 및 상기 제2 액정셀이 수평면에 대해서 경사각을 갖도록 초기 배향시키기 위해 상기 투명공통전극과 수직으로 배열된 제2 보조전극 중 적어도 어느 하나를 포함하고,상기 제1 액정셀 및 상기 제2 액정셀 중 적어도 어느 하나는,수평면에 대해서 경사각을 갖고 초기 배향된 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 투과영역과 상기 반사영역의 셀 갭이 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 액정셀과 상기 제2 액정셀 내에는,액정물질; 그리고광경화성 단량체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향은 45도 방향이며;상기 제2 방향은 90도 방향이며;상기 경사각은 50도 내지 55도인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,박막트랜지스터, 상기 박막트랜지스터에 연결된 화소전극, 상기 화소전극과 수평전계를 형성하도록 배치된 공통전극이 형성된 제1 기판과;칼라필터가 형성된 제2 기판을 더 포함하며,상기 제1 및 제2 액정셀을 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 개재된 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 제1 기판에는 제1 편광방향을 갖는 상부 편광판과;상기 제2 기판에는 제1 편광방향과 수직한 제2 편광방향을 갖는 하부 편광판을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 제1 편광방향과 상기 제2 편광방향 중 어느 하나는 상기 제1 방향과 평행하거나 수직한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제1 기판과 제2 기판에 투과영역 및 반사영역을 정의하는 단계와;상기 제1 기판의 상기 투과영역에는 투명공통전극과 화소전극을 포함하고, 상기 제1 기판의 상기 반사영역에는 반사공통전극과 화소전극을 포함하는 TFT 기판을 형성하는 단계와;상기 제2 기판 전체에는 컬러필터를 포함하고, 상기 제2 기판의 상기 반사영역에는 제1 보조전극을 포함하는 컬러 필터 기판을 형성하는 단계와;상기 TFT 기판과 상기 컬러 필터 기판 사이에 액정 및 광경화 단량체 혼합물로 이루어진 액정셀을 개재한 상태로 합착하여 액정패널을 형성하는 단계와;상기 반사공통전극과 상기 제1 보조전극 사이에 전계를 인가하여 그 사이에 개재된 광경화 단량체를 수평면에 대해 경사각을 갖도록 하는 단계와;상기 액정패널에 자외선을 조사하여 상기 경사각을 갖는 상기 광경화 단량체를 경화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 액정패널을 형성하는 단계에서, 상기 액정패널의 셀갭이 전면에 걸쳐 균일하게 합착하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 반사공통전극과 상기 제1 보조전극 사이에 상기 전계를 인가하는 단계는 상기 경사각이 50도 내지 55도를 이루도록 상기 전계를 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 TFT 기판을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 투과영역에는 제1 배향방향을 갖고, 상기 반사영역에는 제2 배향방향을 갖는 하부 배향막을 더 형성하며;상기 컬러 필터 기판을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 투과영역에는 상기 제1 배향방향을 갖고 상기 반사영역에는 상기 제2 배향방향을 갖는 상부 배향막을 더 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 제1 배향방향과 상기 제2 배향방향은 45도 차이를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 TFT 기판 외부에는 하부 편광판을, 상기 컬러필터 외부에는 상부 편광판을 부착하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 하부 편광판은 상기 제1 배향방향과 평행하거나 수직한 제1 광 투과축을 갖고;상기 상부 편광판은 상기 제1 광 투과축과 수직하는 제2 광 투과축을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 컬러 필터 기판을 형성하는 단계는,상기 제2 기판의 상기 투과영역에 상기 제1 보조전극과 전기적으로 분리된 제2 보조전극을 더 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 반사공통전극과 상기 제1 보조전극 사이에 상기 전계를 인가하는 대신 에 상기 투명공통전극과 상기 제2 보조전극 사이에 상기 전계를 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치 제조 방법.
