- 고압 및/또는 고온 탄화수소 액체들 또는 가스들의 수송을 위한 합성 중합체(synthetic polymer) 가요성 파이프로서,
(i) 내부 라이너 층;
(ii) 상기 가요성 파이프의 단부를 에워싸는 아머 층(armour layer);
(iii) 상기 가요성 파이프의 단부에 배치되며 상기 아머 층을 에워싸는 파이프 커플링;
(iv) 상기 파이프 커플링의 오목부에 의해 형성되는 밀봉 영역; 및
(v) 상기 밀봉 영역에 배치된 밀봉 재료를 포함하며,
상기 파이프의 단부의 내부 라이너 층은 밀봉 영역 내로 연장하며 밀봉 재료에 접합되는(bonded), 합성 중합체 가요성 파이프에 있어서,
상기 밀봉 재료는 비탄성중합체(non-elastomeric)이며, 상기 밀봉 재료 및 상기 가요성 파이프의 내부 라이너 층은 둘 다 열가소성 플라스틱(thermoplastic) 및 열경화성 플라스틱(thermoset)을 포함하는 종류들(classes)로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 동일한 종류의 합성 중합체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,

(v) 파이프 단부와 밀봉 재료 사이에서 밀봉 영역 내에 영구적인 중합체-대-중합체 화학적 접합, 및 파이프 커플링과 밀봉 재료 사이에서 밀봉 영역 내에 영구적인 중합체-대-금속 화학적 접합을 형성하는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 밀봉 재료는 비탄성중합체(non-elastomeric)이며, 상기 밀봉 재료 및 상기 가요성 파이프의 적어도 일부는 둘 다 열가소성 플라스틱 및 열경화성 플라스틱을 포함하는 종류들로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 동일한 종류의 합성 중합체로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는,

- 제 29 항에 있어서,
상기 밀봉 영역 내에 영구적인 화학적 접합을 형성하는 단계는,

반결정성 열가소성 플라스틱 재료를 포함하는 파이프 및 밀봉 재료를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,
합성 중합체 가요성 파이프를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 27 항 또는 제 28 항에 있어서,
영구적 화학적 접합을 형성하는 단계는 밀봉 재료를 냉각하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,
합성 중합체 가요성 파이프를 제조하는 방법.
- 고압 및/또는 고온 탄화수소 액체들 또는 가스들의 수송을 위한 탄성 중합체(elastomeric) 가요성 호스로서,
(i) 반결정성 열가소성 플라스틱 내부 라이너 층;
(ii) 가요성 호스의 단부에서 내부 라이너 층을 에워싸는 아머 층;
(iii) 호스의 단부에 배치되며 아머 층을 에워싸는 호스 커플링;
(iv) 호스 커플링의 오목부에 의해 형성되는 밀봉 영역; 및
(v) 밀봉 영역에 배치된 반결정성 열가소성 밀봉 재료 또는 교차 결합 탄성중합체 밀봉 재료를 포함하며,
상기 호스 단부에 있는 내부 라이너 층의 일부는 밀봉 영역 내로 연장하며 밀봉 재료에 접합되는, 탄성 중합체 가요성 호스에 있어서,

- 고압 및/또는 고온 탄화수소 액체들 또는 가스들의 수송을 위한 탄성 중합체 가요성 호스의 제조 방법에 있어서,
(i) 밀봉 영역을 형성하는 오목부를 포함하는 호스 커플링을 제공하는 단계;
(ii) 반결정성 열가소성 플라스틱 내부 라이너 층, 및 가요성 호스의 단부에서 내부 라이너 층을 에워싸는 아머 층을 포함하는 호스를 제공하는 단계;

(v) 상기 호스 커플링 및 내부 라이너 층을 접합하기 위해서 호스 커플링의 내부 표면에 적용된 타이 층을 제공하는 단계;
(vi) 호스의 단부에 파이프 커플링을 끼워 맞춤하는 단계; 및
(vii) 호스 단부와 밀봉 재료 그리고 호스 커플링과 밀봉 재료 사이에서 각각 밀봉 영역 내에 영구적인 화학적 접합을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는,

- 제 60 항에 있어서,
상기 밀봉 영역 내에 영구적인 화학적 접합을 형성하는 단계는,
