Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 기판 본체;상기 기판 본체 상에 차례로 적층 형성된 제1 전극, 유기 발광층, 및 제2 전극을 포함하는 유기 발광 소자;상기 유기 발광 소자 상에 형성된 선택적 반사막;상기 선택적 반사막 상에 배치된 위상 지연 필름;상기 위상 지연 필름 상에 형성된 제1 선편광 필름;상기 제1 선편광 필름 상에 형성된 트위스티드 네마틱(twisted nematic, TN) 액정층;상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 상에 형성된 액정 구동 전극; 그리고상기 액정 구동 전극 상에 형성된 제2 선편광 필름을 포함하고,상기 제1 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향과 상기 제2 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향은 일치하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 유기 발광 소자가 빛을 방출할 때에는 상기 유기 발광 소자의 제2 전극과 상기 액정 구동 전극 사이에 전계가 인가되고,상기 유기 발광 소자가 빛을 방출하지 않을 때에는 상기 유기 발광 소자의 제2 전극과 상기 액정 구동 전극 사이에 전계가 인가되지 않는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제2항에서,상기 유기 발광 소자의 제2 전극과 상기 액정 구동 전극 사이에 전계가 인가된 상태에서는 상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 내의 액정 분자들이 상기 액정 구동 전극과 교차하는 방향으로 수직 배열된 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제3항에서,상기 제2 선편광 필름을 통과한 선편광된 빛은 상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 및 상기 제1 선편광 필름을 그대로 통과하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제3항에서,상기 제1 선편광 필름을 통과한 선편광된 빛은 상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 및 상기 제2 선편광 필름을 그대로 통과하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제2항에서,상기 유기 발광 소자의 제2 전극과 상기 액정 구동 전극 사이에 전계가 인가되지 않은 상태에서는 상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 내의 액정 분자들이 상기 액정 구동 전극과 평행한 방향으로 수평 배열된 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제6항에서,상기 수평 배열된 액정 분자들 중 상기 액정 구동 전극과 인접한 액정 분자들과 상기 제1 선편광 필름과 인접한 액정 분자들은 90도의 각도로 비틀리게 배열되는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제7항에서,상기 수평 배열된 액정 분자들 중 상기 액정 구동 전극과 인접한 액정 분자들의 배열 방향은 상기 제2 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향과 일치하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제7항에서,상기 수평 배열된 액정 분자들 중 상기 제1 선편광 필름과 인접한 액정 분자들의 배열 방향은 상기 제1 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향과 90도의 교각(交角)을 이루는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제7항에서,상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층을 통과한 빛의 축방향은 상기 제1 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향과 교차하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에서,상기 선택적 반사막은 콜레스테릭 액정(cholesteric liquid crystal, CLC)막인 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 선택적 반사막은 좌원편광된 빛과 우원편광된 빛 중 어느 하나는 통과시키고 다른 하나는 반사시키는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 제1 선편광 필름을 통과한 선편광된 빛은 상기 위상 지연 필름을 통과하면 원편광으로 변하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제14항에서,상기 위상 지연 필름을 통과하여 원편광된 빛은 상기 선택적 반사막을 그대로 통과하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 위상 지연 필름은 1/4 파장 필름이며,상기 위상 지연 필름의 광축과 상기 제1 선편광 필름의 편광축 간의 교각(交角)은 45도인 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 선택적 반사막을 통과한 원편광된 빛이 상기 위상 지연 필름을 통과하면 상기 제1 선편광 필름의 편광축 방향과 동일한 방향으로 선편광되는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 유기 발광 소자는 상기 트위스티드 네마틱 액정층 방향으로 빛을 방출하는 유기 발광 표시 장치.
