Claims (17)
- 액정표시장치에 있어서,하우징과;상기 하우징 내에 설치되며, 상호 소정 간격 이격되게 배치된 제1 및 제2투명기판과, 상기 제1투명기판과 제2투명기판 사이에 형성된 내부 공간을 밀폐시키는 실링부재와, 상기 내부 공간에 채워지는 액정과, 상기 제1 및 제2투명기판 각각에 형성된 제1 및 제2투명전극과, 소정 편광방향의 광을 투과시키는 제1편광판을 구비한 액정패널과;상기 하우징 내에 설치되며, 상기 액정패널에 면광을 조명하는 백라이트 유니트와;상기 하우징에 설치되며, 상기 액정패널에 대해 소정 거리 이격되게 배치되어 상기 액정패널과의 사이에 냉각통로를 형성함으로써 공기를 통과시키도록 하며, 입사광 중 소정 편광의 광을 투과시키고 다른 편광의 광을 차단하는 편광필터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1편광판은 상기 제1투명기판의 외측에 상기 백라이트 유니트와 마주하게 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 제2투명기판의 외측에 마련되며 소정 편광방향의 광을 투과시키는 제2편광판을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 편광필터를 투과하는 광의 편광방향이 상기 제2편광판을 투과하는 광의 편광방향과 동일하도록 상기 편광필터와 상기 제2편광판이 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 편광필터의 일 측에 마련되며, 입사광 중 적외선 영역의 광을 차단하는 적외선 필터와;상기 적외선 필터의 일측에 마련되며, 입사광 중 자외선 영역의 광을 차단하는 자외선 필터를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 하우징 내에 설치되어, 상기 액정패널과 상기 편광필터를 냉각시키는 방열부재를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 방열부재는,상기 하우징에 마련되어, 상기 하우징 내부로 외부 공기를 유입시키거나 상기 하우징 내의 공기를 외부로 배출시키는 적어도 하나의 송풍팬을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 송풍팬은,상기 하우징의 배면 하단부에 마련되며, 상기 액정패널과 상기 편광필터 사이의 이격 공간으로 외부 공기를 유입시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 송풍팬은,상기 하우징의 배면 상단부에 마련되며, 상기 하우징 내의 공기를 외부로 배출시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 방열부재는,상기 하우징 내에 배치되어 열을 흡수하는 흡열부와;상기 하우징 외부에 배치되며 상기 흡열부에서 흡수된 열을 외부로 방출하는 방열부를 포함하는 것을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 액정표시장치에 있어서,액정패널과;소정 편광방향의 광을 투과시키고 다른 편광방향의 광을 차단하는 적어도 하나의 편광판과;상기 액정패널에 대해 소정 거리 이격되게 배치되며, 상기 액정패널과의 사이에 냉각통로를 형성함으로써 공기를 통과시키도록 하며, 차단된 광을 반사 또는 흡수하여 상기 차단된 광이 상기 액정패널로 직접 인가되는 것을 방지하는 편광필터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 액정표시장치에 있어서,영상을 디스플레이하는 액정패널과;상기 액정패널에 면광을 조명하는 백라이트 유니트와;상기 액정패널에 대해 소정 거리 이격되게 배치되며, 상기 액정패널과의 사이에 냉각통로를 형성함으로써 공기를 통과시키도록 하며, 입사광 중 소정 편광의 광을 투과시키고 다른 편광의 광을 차단하는 편광필터와;상기 액정패널, 상기 백라이트 유니트 및 상기 편광필터를 수용하는 하우징과;상기 하우징의 내부 공간에서 열을 흡수하는 흡열부와, 흡수된 열을 상기 하우징 외부로 방출하는 방열부를 구비한 방열부재를 포함하는 것을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 흡열부는 상기 하우징 내부에 배치되고, 상기 방열부는 상기 하우징 외부에 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 액정패널과 상기 편광필터 사이의 이격거리 D는 하기의 조건식을 만족하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.<조건식>0.005 ≤ D/L ≤ 0.1L = (H2 + W2)1/2여기서, H는 상기 액정패널의 높이이고, W는 상기 액정패널의 폭이다.
- 액정표시장치에 있어서,하우징과;상기 하우징 내에 설치되며, 상호 소정 간격 이격되게 배치된 제1 및 제2기판과, 상기 제1 및 제2기판 사이에 채워지는 액정과, 상기 제1 및 제2기판 각각에 형성된 제1 및 제2전극과, 소정 편광방향의 광을 투과시키는 제1편광판을 구비한 액정패널과;상기 하우징 내에 설치되며, 상기 액정패널에 면광을 조명하는 백라이트 유니트와;상기 하우징에 설치되며, 상기 액정패널에 대해 소정 거리 이격되게 배치되어 상기 액정패널과의 사이에 냉각통로를 형성함으로써 공기를 통과시키도록 하며, 입사되는 태양광 중 일부의 광을 투과시키고 다른 일부의 광을 차단하는 필터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 액정패널은 상기 액정과 상기 필터 사이에 마련되는 제2편광판을 더 포함하며,상기 필터는, 투과하는 광의 편광방향이 상기 제2편광판을 투과하는 광의 편광방향과 동일한 편광필터를 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제15항 또는 제16항에 있어서,상기 필터는, 상기 입사되는 태양광 중 적외선 영역의 광을 차단하는 적외선 필터 및 상기 입사되는 태양광 중 자외선 영역의 광을 차단하는 자외선 필터 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 액정표시장치.
