Abstract
Description
상기 투과 영역과 상기 반사 영역은 동일층에 형성되고 서로 동일한 두께를 가진다.
상기 패턴 위상차판의 상기 투과 영역은 상기 제 1 위상차판에 의해 위상 지연된 광을 위상 변화없이 투과시키는 광학적 더미층(optical dummy layer)이다.
상기 패턴 위상차판의 상기 반사 영역은 상기 제 1 위상차판 위에 배치된 반사판; 및 상기 반사판 상에 형성된 제 2 위상차판을 포함한다.
Claims (6)
- 백 라이트 유닛 위에 배치된 편광판;상기 편광판 위에 배치되어 상기 백 라이트 유닛으로부터 인가되는 광의 위상을 지연시키는 제 1 위상차판;상기 제 1 위상차판 위에 배치되고, 상기 제 1 위상차판에 의해 위상 지연된 광을 투과시키는 투과 영역과, 상기 제 1 위상차판에 의해 위상 지연된 광을 차단하고 외부로부터 입사되는 광을 반사하는 반사 영역으로 나뉘어진 패턴 위상차판; 및상기 패턴 위상차판 위에 배치되는 횡전계 액정 셀을 포함하고,상기 패턴 위상차판에서 상기 투과 영역과 상기 반사 영역은 서로 동일한 두께를 가지며,상기 패턴 위상차판의 상기 투과 영역은 상기 제 1 위상차판에 의해 위상 지연된 광을 위상 변화없이 투과시키는 광학적 더미층(optical dummy layer)이고,상기 패턴 위상차판의 상기 반사 영역은,상기 제 1 위상차판 위에 배치된 반사판; 및상기 반사판 상에 형성된 제 2 위상차판을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사투과형 횡전계 모드 액정표시장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 광학적 더미층은 수직으로 배열된 액정 분자에 의해 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사투과형 횡전계 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 위상차판은 입사되는 광의 파장에 대한 1/2(λ/2) 만큼의 위상을 지연시키는 위상차판이고, 상기 제 2 위상차판은 입사되는 광의 파장에 대한 1/4(λ/4)만큼의 위상을 지연시키는 위상차판인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사투과형 횡전계 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 위상차판 및 상기 제 2 위상차판 가운데 적어도 하나의 위상차판은 셀 내부(in-cell) 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사투과형 횡전계 모드 액정표시장치.
