Claims (4)
- 시청용 편광 거울(1)로서,제1종의 편광(20')광을 시청 측에 반사하는 제1 평면(1)을 구비하고, 상기 거울은 제2종의 편광(20'')광을 통과시키고, 화면 표시 장치(5)를 비시청 측에 구비하며, 상기 화면 표시 장치는 사용시에 제2종의 편광 광을 제공하고, 시청 측의 편광거울은 두 개의 광학상태 사이를 변환할 수 있고, 두 개의 기판(26, 27) 사이의 액정층(7)을 포함하는, 편광 수단(14)을 구비하며,상기 기판의 적어도 하나는 적어도 두 개의 배향 방향에서의 광학 상태들 중 하나 동안 배향 액정 분자(25)를 배향시키기 위한 배향수단을 갖는,시청용 편광 거울.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 화면 표시 장치의 화소(picture element)에 관련되는 각 영역의 기판은 서로 다른 배향 방향을 갖는 영역(domain, 30)을 갖는,시청용 편광 거울.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 두 개의 기판 사이에 있는 액정층은 염료(31)를 포함하는,시청용 편광 거울.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 변환 가능한 편광 수단은 1/2λ 지연제와 편광체를 포함하는,시청용 편광 거울.
