Claims (14)
- 동작 제어신호에 대응하여 저전력 구동모드 또는 일반 구동모드인지를 판단하고, 판단된 모드에 대응하는 제어신호를 생성하는 모드 판단부와;주사선들로 주사신호를 순차적으로 공급하기 위한 주사 구동부와;데이터선들로 상기 주사신호와 동기되도록 데이터신호들을 공급하기 위한 데이터 구동부와;상기 주사선들 및 데이터선들의 교차부에 위치되는 화소들과;상기 저전력 구동모드 또는 상기 일반 구동모드에 대응하여 프레임 주파수가 변화되도록 상기 주사 구동부 및 데이터 구동부를 제어하는 타이밍 제어부를 구비하며;상기 주사 구동부는 상기 프레임 주파수의 변화와 무관하게 상기 주사신호의 폭을 일정하게 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 주사 구동부는 상기 프레임 주파수의 변화에 대응하여 이전에 공급된 주사신호와 현재 공급될 주사신호 사이의 간격을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 모드 판단부는 일정시간 동안 상기 동작 제어신호의 공급이 없을 때 상기 저전력 구동모드에 대응하는 저전력 제어신호를 상기 타이밍 제어부로 공급하고, 그 외의 경우에 상기 일반 구동모드에 대응하여 일반 제어신호를 상기 타이밍 제어부로 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 모드 판단부는 상기 일정시간 동안 상기 동작 제어신호의 공급이 없을 때 현재 표시되는 영상이 정지영상인지 동영상인지를 추가적으로 판단하고, 상기 정지영상으로 판단된 경우에만 상기 저전력 제어신호를 상기 타이밍 제어부로 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 타이밍 제어부는 상기 일반 제어신호가 공급될 때 제 1프레임 주파수, 상기 저전력 제어신호가 공급될 때 제 2프레임 주파수로 구동되도록 상기 주사 구동부 및 데이터 구동부를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 5항에 있어서,상기 제 1프레임 주파수는 상기 제 2프레임 주파수보다 높은 주파수인것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 화소는유기 발광 다이오드와,상기 유기 발광 다이오드로 공급되는 전류량을 제어하기 위한 구동 트랜지스터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 제 7항에 있어서,상기 화소는 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 문턱전압을 보상하기 위하여 복수의 트랜지스터를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치.
- 외부로부터 공급되는 동작 제어신호에 대응하여 프레임 주파수를 변화하는 제 1단계와,상기 프레임 주파수와 무관하게 주사신호들의 폭을 일정하게 유지하는 제 2단계와,상기 주사신호들에 대응되도록 데이터신호를 공급하는 제 3단계와,상기 데이터신호에 대응하여 화소들 각각에서 소정 휘도의 빛을 생성하는 제 4단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서,제 2단계에서는 상기 프레임 주파수에 대응하여 상기 주사신호들 사이의 간 격을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서,상기 제 1단계는상기 동작 제어신호를 이용하여 일반 구동모드인지 저전력 구동모드인지를 판별하는 단계와,상기 일반 구동모드인 경우 제 1프레임 주파수로 설정하고, 상기 저전력 구동모드인 경우 제 2프레임 주파수로 설정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 제 1프레임 주파수는 상기 제 2프레임 주파수보다 높은 주파수인것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 제 1단계에서는 상기 동작 제어신호가 일정시간 입력되지 않을 때 상기 저전력 구동모드로 판단하고, 그 외의 경우에는 상기 일반 구동모드로 판단하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 13항에 있어서,상기 제 1단계에서는 상기 동작 제어신호가 일정시간 입력되지 않을 때 표시되는 영상이 동영상인지 정지영상인지를 추가적으로 판단하고, 상기 정지영상으로 판단된 경우에만 상기 저전력 구동모드로 판단하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기전계발광 표시장치의 구동방법.
