Claims (9)
- 유연성을 갖는 반사형 액정표시장치로서,서로 대향하게 배치되며 유연성을 가진 투명한 플라스틱 재질의 상부기판 및 하부기판;상기 상부기판과 상기 하부기판의 내면에 서로 대향하게 배치되어 접합되며, 인가되는 전압에 의해 전기장을 형성하는 투명전극;상기 투명전극의 내면에 서로 대향하게 배치되어 접합되며, 수직 및 수평의 배향방향을 갖는 배향막;상기 배향막 사이의 내부 공간에 배치되며 상기 배향막의 배향방향으로 배열되는 액정과, 분자배향 방향과 평행한 방향으로 편광된 빛에 대해서 수직한 방향으로 편광된 빛 보다 상대적으로 강한 광 흡수성을 갖는 이색성 염료를 구비하며, 상기 투명전극에 의해 형성된 전기장이 인가되면 상기 액정과 이색성 염료가 상기 전기장 방향으로 재배열되는 게스트 호스트 액정층;상기 배향막 내면에 상기 게스트 호스트 액정층을 밀봉하기 위해 도포된 실런트 라인층;상기 하부기판의 외면에 형성되어 빛을 편광시키는 편광층; 및상기 편광층의 외면에 형성되어 투과된 빛을 반사시키는 반사층;으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 상부기판과 상기 하부기판은 폴리 카보네이트(Poly Carbonate) 및 폴리 에테르 설폰(Poly Ether Sulfone) 중 어느 하나를 재질로 하는 플라스틱 기판인 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 액정은 네마틱(Nematic) 액정 또는 콜레스테릭(Cholesteric) 액정 중 적어도 한 개의 조합으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 상부기판과 상기 하부기판 사이에 형성되어 그 사이의 간격을 일정하게 유지시키기 위한 스페이서층을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 상부기판과 상기 하부기판의 어느 한쪽의 외면 및 내면 중 적어도 어느 한 면에 형성된 위상차 필름층을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 편광층, 상기 반사층 및 상기 위상차 필름층은 각각 적어도 한 개 이상의 층으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드 형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
- 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 위상차 필름의 위상차는 4분의 1 파장인 것을 특징으로 하는 게스트 호스트 모드형 플라스틱 액정표시장치.
