Claims (31)

- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 통신 네트워크들 중의 적어도 하나는 IEEE 802.11 네트워크를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 송신 파워 레벨, 수신 신호 강도 지수, 링크 품질, 및 서비스 품질 요구조건을 포함하는 그룹들 중에서 선택된 다수의 요인들 중의 적어도 하나에 기초하여 상기 다른 노드들 중의 하나에 상기 신호를 송신하는 상기 송수신기를 제어함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 상기 시스템 가중치들에 기초하여 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 각각에 할당된 비용을 평가함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 상기 노드에 할당된 상기 비용에 기초하여 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 하나를 선택함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 각 패킷에 기초하여 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 하나를 선택함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 각 패킷에 기초하여 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 각각에 할당된 비용을 평가함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 제어기는 가장 낮은 비용과 관련된 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 적어도 하나를 선택함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 라우팅 정보는 라우팅 테이블을 포함하고, 상기 제어기는 상기 시스템 가중치와 상기 라우팅 테이블에 기초하여 상기 다수의 다른 노드들 중의 하나에 상기 신호를 전송하는 상기 송수신기를 제어함을 특징으로 하는 노드.
- 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있어서, 일부는 그 자신의 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있고, 나머지는 적어도 하나의 다른 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있는 다른 노드들과 통신하도록 동작하는 노드를 제어하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 노드로부터 전송을 수신하기 위해 이용 가능한 노드들을 결정하는 단계;각각의 이용 가능한 노드에 할당되며 해당 노드가 동작하고 있는 네트워크를 식별하는 네트워크 식별을 결정하는 단계;각각의 네트워크 식별에 해당하는 각각의 시스템 가중치를 결정하는 단계;할당된 네트워크 식별에 해당하는 상기 각각의 시스템 가중치가 희망하는 기준에 부합되는 하나의 노드를 상기 이용 가능한 노드들 중에서 선택하는 단계; 그리고상기 노드로부터 상기 선택된 노드에 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 시스템 가중치는 노드 자신의 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크와 상기 적어도 하나의 다른 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크 간에 설정된 서비스 레벨 약정에 기초하여 결정됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 이용 가능한 노드들의 세트를 결정하는 단계는 라우팅 테이블을 재검토하는 것을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 라우팅 광고를 수신하고 상기 라우팅 테이블을 갱신하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 통신 네트워크는 IEEE 802.11 네트워크를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 각각의 이용 가능한 노드에 대한 패킷 전송과 관련된 비용을 상기 시스템 가중치의 적어도 일부에 기초하여 계산하는 단계를 더 포함하고; 그리고상기 선택하는 단계는 상기한 비용에 기초하여 상기 이용 가능한 노드들 중의 상기 하나를 선택함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 비용 계산 단계는 송신 파워 레벨, 수신 신호 강도 지수, 링크 품질, 및 서비스 품질 요구조건을 포함하는 그룹들 중에서 선택된 다수의 요인들 중의 적어도 하나에 더 기초하여 상기 비용을 계산하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 선택하는 단계는 가장 낮은 비용과 관련된 이용 가능한 노드를 선택하는 것을 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.

- 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있어서 그 자신의 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있는 다른 노드들과, 그리고 적어도 하나의 다른 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크에 있는 다른 노드들과 통신하도록 동작하는 노드를 제어하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 노드가 그 자신의 네트워크 내에서 동작하는 어떤 다른 노드들과 통신이 가능한지 아닌지를 결정하는 단계와;상기 노드가 그 자신의 네트워크 내에서 동작하는 상기 다른 노드들 중의 어떤 것과 통신이 가능하면, 통신을 위한 선택된 노드로서 상기 다른 노드들 중의 하나를 선택하는 단계와;상기 노드가 그 자신의 네트워크 내에서 동작하는 상기 다른 노드들 중의 어떤 것과 통신이 불가능하면, 상기 노드가 그 자신의 네트워크가 아닌 다른 적어도 하나의 네트워크에서 동작하고 있는 다른 노드들과 통신이 가능한지 아닌지를 결정하고, 상기 다른 노드들 중의 각각은 그 노드가 동작하고 있는 네트워크를 식별하는 네트워크 식별자와 관련된 각각의 시스템 가중치가 할당되는 단계와; 그리고상기 노드가 적어도 하나의 다른 네트워크에서 동작하고 있는 다수의 다른 노드들과 통신 가능하면, 그 다른 노드들 중의 하나를 상기 선택된 노드로서 선택하며, 상기 선택된 노드의 상기 각각의 할당된 시스템 가중치는 희망하는 기준과 부합되는 단계를 포함하며,상기 시스템 가중치는 노드 자신의 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크와 상기 적어도 하나의 다른 무선 애드-혹 피어-투-피어 통신 네트워크 간에 설정된 서비스 레벨 약정에 기초하여 결정됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 노드로부터 상기 선택된 노드로 데이터 패킷을 전송하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 결정하는 단계들 각각은 상기 노드가 통신이 가능한 이용 가능한 노드들을 결정하기 위해 라우팅 테이블을 재검토하는 단계를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 통신 네트워크는 IEEE 802.11 네트워크를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 단계들 각각은 각 패킷 단위로 수행됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
