Claims (13)
- 2개의 표시면을 갖는 액정 패널과, 상기 액정 패널의 한쪽 표시면 측에 배치된 제 1 프론트 라이트(front light)와, 상기 액정 패널의 다른쪽 표시면 측에 배치된 제 2 프론트 라이트와, 상기 액정 패널의 화소를 구동하여, 상기 액정 패널에 화상을 표시하는 화소 구동 회로를 구비한 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 화소 구동 회로는 상기 액정 패널에 제 1 화상과 제 2 화상을 교대로 표시하는 한편, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 제 1 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트가 점등하고, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 제 2 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트가 점등하며,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 TFT 기판의 바깥쪽에 원편향판이 배치되어 있는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 2개의 표시면을 갖는 액정 패널과, 상기 액정 패널의 한쪽 표시면 측에 배치된 제 1 프론트 라이트와, 상기 액정 패널의 다른쪽 표시면 측에 배치된 제 2 프론트 라이트와, 상기 액정 패널의 화소를 구동하여, 상기 액정 패널에 화상을 표시하는 화소 구동 회로를 구비한 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 화소 구동 회로는 상기 액정 패널에 제 1 화상과 제 2 화상을 교대로 표시하는 한편, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 제 1 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트가 점등하고, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 제 2 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트가 점등하며,상기 제 1 및 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은 상기 액정 패널에 수직한 방향으로부터 기울어져 있으며, 또한, 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향과 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은 어긋나 있는것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 화소 구동 회로가 상기 액정 패널에 제 1 화상 또는 제 2 화상을 표시할 때, 그 액정 패널에 있어서의 복수의 게이트 라인에 대하여, 그 액정 패널에 표시하는 화상의 화상 데이터를 순서대로 인가하고, 그 화상 데이터가 모든 게이트 라인에 인가되고 나서 상기 제 1 또는 제 2 프론트 라이트가 점등하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 프론트 라이트가 복수의 광원을 구비하고 있는 경우, 상기 화소 구동 회로는 상기 액정 패널에 제 1 화상 또는 제 2 화상을 표시할 때, 그 액정 패널에 있어서의 복수의 게이트 라인에 대하여, 그 액정 패널에 표시하는 화상의 화상 데이터를 순서대로 인가하고, 앞서 화상 데이터가 인가되고 있는 게이트 라인에 대응하는 광원부터 순서대로 점등하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널은 복수의 화소를 갖는 액정 셀과, 상기 액정 셀을 사이에 유지하는 1쌍의 투명 유리 기판과, 상기 1쌍의 투명 유리 기판의 바깥쪽에 배치된 1쌍의 편광판으로 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 액정층의 배향은 벤드 배향(a bend alignment)인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 액정층의 배향은 평행한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 액정층의 재료의 굴절률 이방성은 0.1~0.2의 범위 내이며, 또한, 상기 액정층의 복굴절값은 350~550㎚의 범위 내인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.

- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은, 상기 액정 패널에 수직한 방향으로부터 상하 방향으로 5° 내지 10° 기울어져 있으며, 또한, 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향과 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은 10° 내지 20° 어긋나 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은, 상기 액정 패널에 수직한 방향으로부터, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 프론트 라이트의 광원의 반대 방향으로 5° 내지 10° 기울어져 있으며, 또한, 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향과 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트로부터 방사되는 광의 방사 방향은 10° 내지 20° 어긋나 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 2개의 표시면을 갖는 액정 패널의 한쪽 표시면 측에 제 1 프론트 라이트가 배치되고, 또한, 상기 액정 패널의 다른쪽 표시면 측에 제 2 프론트 라이트가 배치되며, 상기 액정 패널의 화소를 구동하여, 상기 액정 패널에 화상을 표시하는 화소 구동 회로를 갖는 액정 표시 장치와, 상기 액정 패널에 표시하는 화상의 화상 데이터를 상기 화소 구동 회로에 출력하는 화상 제어기를 구비한 정보 기기에 있어서,상기 화소 구동 회로는 상기 화상 제어기로부터 제 1 화상과 제 2 화상의 화상 데이터를 받으면, 상기 액정 패널에 상기 제 1 화상과 상기 제 2 화상을 교대로 표시하는 한편, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 상기 제 1 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 1 프론트 라이트가 점등하고, 상기 화소 구동 회로에 의해 상기 제 2 화상이 표시되고 있는 동안에 상기 제 2 프론트 라이트가 점등하며,상기 액정 패널을 구성하는 TFT 기판의 바깥쪽에 원편향판이 배치되어 있는것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기기.
