Description
Claims (14)
- 전극 패드와 소정의 회로 패턴이 형성된 기판;상기 기판 상에 구비되며 광신호를 발생시켜 외부로 방출하는 광원부;상기 광원부로부터 전송되는 광신호를 수신하여 전기적 신호로 변환하는 광검출부;상기 기판 상에 구비되며 상기 전극 패드를 통해 공급되는 전기적 신호에 따라 상기 광원부와 상기 광검출부를 구동시키는 구동부; 및클래드층과 그 위에 적층되는 코어층을 포함하며 광원부측과 대향하는 상기 코어층의 단부에는 타원 형상의 3차원 곡면으로서 전반사영역으로 반사 거울면을 형성하는 광 도파로를 포함하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 광원부는 표면방출레이저(VCSEL) 어레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 광원부는 상기 반사 거울면을 형성하는 타원의 한 초점에 위치하고 상기 반사 거울면에서 전반사된 광속의 진행방향이 타원의 다른 초점과 평행하도록 상기 광 도파로가 정렬되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 타원의 장축의 길이를 a, 타원의 단축의 길이를 b라 할때, 장축과 단축의 비 a/b가 약 2가 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 타원 형상의 반사 거울면의 양측 단부와 상기 광도파로의 측단부에 파티션 블록이 더 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 타원 형상의 반사 거울면은 상기 광 검출부측과 대향하는 상기 광도파로의 코어층의 단부에도 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항, 제 8 항 또는 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 광원부, 광 검출부, 구동부 및 그 연결 배선을 보호하는 하우징을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 광 검출부는 포토 다이오드 어레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈.
- 광 도파로 기판에 클래딩층, 상기 클래딩층 위에 코어층을 적층하고 상기 코어층의 양측 단부에 파티션 블록을 형성하여 상기 파티션 블록과 상기 코어 층의 단부에 의해 만들어진 공간에 타원 형상의 3차원 곡면으로서 전반사 영역으로 반사 거울면을 형성하는 광 도파로를 준비하는 단계;상기 광도파로 기판 상에 광원부와 상기 광 검출부를 연결하기 위한 전극 패드를 형성하고, 상기 전극 패드의 일단부에 솔더 범프를 준비하는 단계;상기 광원부와 상기 광 검출부를 상기 솔더 범프와 연결하여 상기 광 도파로 기판 상에 실장하는 단계;미리 가공된 인쇄회로기판의 소정 위치에 상기 광원부와 광 검출부가 실장된 광 도파로 기판을 결합시키는 단계; 및상기 인쇄회로기판 상에 형성된 접지전극 위에 구동부를 실장하여, 상기 광원부 및 상기 광 검출부와 각각 접속하고 외부 전기 접속을 위하여 상기 인쇄회로기판 상에 형성된 전극 패드에도 연결하는 단계를 포함하는 광 접속 모듈의 제조 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 광 도파로와 이에 결합된 광원부, 광 검출부 및 그 연결 배선을 보호하기 위하여 하우징을 설치하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈의 제조 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 파티션 블록에 타원 형상의 반사 거울면이 형성된 광 도파로에는 상기 광 도파로의 기판 위에 실장되는 광원부 또는 광 검출부를 정렬하기 위한 키 또는 마크가 함께 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 접속 모듈의 제조 방법.
