Description
Claims (14)
- 제 1 전극과 제 2 전극 사이에 유기 기능층을 삽입한 유기 EL 소자를 기체(基體) 상에 배열 설치하여 이루어지는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치로서,상기 유기 기능층이 상기 제 1 전극의 가장자리부를 따라 입설(立設)된 격벽 부재에 둘러싸이는 영역 내에 배치되는 동시에, 상기 제 1 전극측으로부터 전하 수송층과 발광층을 적층하여 포함하고,상기 제 1 전극 위에 상기 전하 수송층 측으로 돌출하는 볼록 형상부가 설치되어 있고,상기 볼록 형상부와 상기 발광층 사이에는 상기 전하 수송층의 일부가 개재(介在)하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부가 평면에서 보았을 때 스트라이프 형상을 이루어 상기 제 1 전극 위에 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 유기 EL 소자의 길이 방향을 따라 연장하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부가 점형상(点狀)의 돌기로 이루어지고, 복수의 상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 제 1 전극 위에 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 격벽 부재의 적어도 일부와 동일한 재질인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 격벽 부재가 무기 절연 재료로 이루어지는 제 1 격벽층 상에 유기 절연 재료로 이루어지는 제 2 격벽층을 적층한 구성을 구비하고 있고,상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 제 1 격벽층과 동일한 재질인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 제 1 전극의 일부를 이루고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전하 수송층이 하나 또는 복수의 도전층이며,상기 볼록 형상부가 상기 각 도전층을 층 두께 방향으로 걸치도록 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치.
- 제 1 전극과, 전하 수송층 및 발광층을 포함하는 유기 기능층과, 제 2 전극을 순차적으로 적층하여 이루어지는 유기 EL 소자를 기체상에 배열 설치하여 이루어지는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방법으로서,기체상에 제 1 전극을 형성하는 공정과,상기 제 1 전극 위에 볼록 형상부를 형성하는 공정과,상기 제 1 전극의 가장자리부를 따라 격벽 부재를 입설하는 공정과,상기 격벽 부재에 둘러싸인 영역 내에 전하 수송 재료를 포함하는 액체 재료를 배치하는 공정과,상기 액체 재료를 건조시켜서 상기 볼록 형상부를 덮는 전하 수송층을 형성하는 공정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부를 형성하는 공정과, 상기 격벽 부재를 입설하는 공정을 동일 공정에서 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방 법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 격벽 부재를 입설하는 공정이 상기 기체상에 무기 절연 재료로 이루어지는 제 1 격벽층을 형성하는 공정과, 상기 제 1 격벽층 상에 유기 절연 재료로 이루어지는 제 2 격벽층을 적층 형성하는 공정을 포함하고 있고,상기 제 1 격벽층을 형성하는 공정에서, 상기 볼록 형상부를 상기 무기 절연 재료에 의해 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 9 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 액체 재료를 배치하는 공정에 앞서,상기 볼록 형상부 표면의 상기 액체 재료에 대한 친화성을 상기 제 1 전극 표면의 상기 액체 재료에 대한 친화성보다 높게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 볼록 형상부를 형성하는 공정이 상기 제 1 전극의 표면을 부분적으로 제거하는 공정인 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 1 항에 기재된 유기 일렉트로루미네선스 장치를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전자 기기.
