Claims (43)
- 하기의 단계를 포함하는 방법에 의해 제조되는 첨가제 반응 생성물:자유 라디칼 개시제의 존재하 및 본질적으로 탄화수소 용매의 부재하 압출기 내에서 수평균 분자량이 약 1,000 을 초과하는 올레핀 공중합체와 아실화제를 반응시켜, 올레핀 공중합체 상의 아실화제의 그래프트화도 (DOG) 가 0.5 중량% 이상인 아실화 올레핀 공중합체를 함유하고, 분자량이 감소된 공중합체 중간체를 제공하는 단계;미반응 성분을 진공 스트리핑 (stripping) 하는 단계;공중합체 중간체를 펠릿화하여 펠릿화된 공중합체 중간체를 형성하는 단계;상기 펠릿화된 공중합체 중간체를 중성유 (neutral oil) 에 용해시켜 용해된 공중합체 중간체를 형성하는 단계; 및용해된 공중합체 중간체를 아민과 반응시켜 그래프트된 올레핀 공중합체 첨가제 반응 생성물을 제공하는 단계.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 아실화 올레핀 공중합체가 1.5 내지 2.5 중량% 의 그래프트화도 (DOG) 를 갖는 첨가제 반응 생성물.

- 제 1 항 또는 제 11 항에 있어서, 미반응 반응물, 부반응 생성물 및 반응 부산물을 포함하는 총 불순물이 0.1 중량% 미만으로 함유된 첨가제 반응 생성물.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 아실화 올레핀 공중합체가 공중합체의 수평균 분자량 단위 1000 당, 이에 그래프트된 0.3 내지 0.75 의 카르복실기를 갖는 공중합체를 함유하는 첨가제 반응 생성물.

- 제 6 항 또는 제 22 항에 있어서, 첨가제 반응 생성물이 윤활유 조성물 내에 약 0.5 중량% 내지 약 18 중량% 의 양으로 존재하는 윤활유 조성물.
- 제 6 항 또는 제 22 항에 있어서, 윤활 점도의 오일이 천연 오일, 합성 오일 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 윤활유 조성물.
- 변속기를 갖는 자동차의 변속기를 윤활하는 방법으로서, 제 22 항의 윤활유 조성물을 이용하여 상기 자동차의 변속기를 윤활하는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 제 22 항의 윤활유 조성물을 내연 엔진의 크랭크케이스에 첨가하는 것을 포함하는, 내연 엔진을 윤활하는 방법.
- 제 8 항 또는 제 25 항에 있어서, 윤활유 조성물이 카테필러 1P 시험법 (Caterpillar 1P Test Method) 에서 250 미만의 웨이티드 디메리트-1P (weighted demerits-1P, WSP) 값, 20 미만의 탑 랜드 카본 (top land carbon, TLC) 값 및 20 미만의 탑 그루브 카본 (top groove carbon, TGC) 값을 달성하는 방법.
- 제 8 항 또는 제 25 항에 있어서, 윤활유 조성물이, 3 % 그을음 수준에서 수행된 고주파 왕복 리그 (High Frequency Reciprocating Rig, HFRR) 시험으로 측정된 약 80 내지 약 95 의 퍼센트 막 저항값을 가지는 경계막을 형성하고, 상기 퍼센트 저항은 ASTM D 1169 에 따라 측정된 오일 고유 저항값으로부터 결정되는 방법.
- 제 8 항 또는 제 25 항에 있어서, 윤활유 조성물이, 6 % 그을음 수준에서 수행된 고주파 왕복 리그 (HFRR) 시험으로 측정된 약 50 내지 약 70 의 퍼센트 막 저항값을 가지는 경계막을 형성하고, 상기 퍼센트 저항은 ASTM D 1169 에 따라 측정된 오일 고유 저항값으로부터 결정되는 방법.

- 제 8 항 또는 제 25 항에 있어서, 윤활유 조성물이 Mack T-11 시험에서 6.0 % 이하의 그을음 수준에서 100 ℃ 에서 10 cSt 미만의 점도 증가를 달성하는 방법.

- 제 36 항에 있어서, 그래프트팅은 오일 중에 용해된 자유 라디칼 개시제의 존재하에 수행되는 방법.
- 제 36 항에 있어서, 그래프트팅은 압출기의 수송 영역 내 단일 분사 지점 (single injection point) 에서 160 ℃ 내지 240 ℃ 의 온도로, 상기 올레핀계 카르복실 아실화제를 상기 공중합체 용융물에 주사하여 수행되는 방법.
- 제 36 항에 있어서, 올레핀계 카르복실 아실화제는 용융물 또는 분산액 (dispersion) 으로 주사되는 방법.
- 제 36 항에 있어서, 단계 (A) 에 뒤이어, 미반응 성분의 진공 스트리핑; 공중합체 중간체의 펠릿화; 용매인 중성유 중 상기 펠릿화된 공중합체 중간체의 용해가 일어나고, 뒤이어 단계 (B) 가 수행되는 방법.
- 제 9 항 또는 제 36 항에 있어서, 올레핀 공중합체 및 아실화제의 반응이 0.1 중량% 미만의 탄화수소 용매의 존재하에 발생되는 방법.
- 제 9 항 또는 제 36 항에 있어서, 펠릿화된 공중합체 중간체를 중성유에 용해시켜 용액을 형성하고, 추가로 아민과 반응시키기 전에, 상기 용액에 불활성 기체를 살포하여, 습기를 충분히 제거하는 것을 추가로 포함하는 방법.
