Claims (6)
- 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치(active matrix liquid crystal display device)로서,각각 상기 디스플레이 소자의 스위칭(switching) 장치에 연결된 디스플레이 소자 전극을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이 소자의 행과 열 어레이(a row and column array of liquid crystal display elements), 상기 디스플레이 소자에 연결된 행과 열 어드레스 컨덕터 세트(sets of row and column address conductors)로서, 이를 통해 선택 신호 및 데이터 신호가 각각 디스플레이 소자에 인가되는, 상기 행과 열 어드레스 컨덕터 세트, 상기 선택 신호를 상기 행 어드레스 컨덕터 세트에 인가하기 위한 행 구동 회로(row drive circuit), 및 상기 데이터 신호를 각 출력을 통해서 상기 열 어드레스 컨덕터 세트에 인가하기 위한 열 구동 회로(column drive circuit)를 포함하되, 상기 열 구동 회로는, 임의의 열 어드레스 컨덕터에 연결된 상기 열 구동 회로의 출력이 인접한 열 어드레스 컨덕터에 대한 데이터 신호가 인가되기 전 혹은 인가되는 동안 높은 임피던스가 되도록 동작 가능한, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,디스플레이 소자에 연결된 상기 열 어드레스 컨덕터는 상기 디스플레이 소자 전극 에지(edges)의 내부에 놓이도록 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 열 어드레스 컨덕터는 디스플레이 소자 전극의 중심 쪽에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 소자 전극은 상기 어드레스 컨덕터 세트 전체로 확장(extend over)하는 절연 층(insulating layer) 상에 놓이는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 열 구동 회로는, 상기 디스플레이 소자 전극의 어레이와 어드레스 컨덕터의 세트를 수용(carrying)하는 기판 상에 집적되는 멀티플렉싱 회로(multiplexing circuit)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 소자 전극의 인접한 열 사이의 갭(gaps)은 광 불투명(light opaque) 물질로 덮이는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 갭을 덮는 광 불투명 물질은 상기 디스플레이 소자 전극의 열을 부분적으로 중첩(overlap)하는 금속 전극을 포함하며, 상기 금속 전극과 결합하여 상기 디스플레이 소자의 열에 대해 저장 콘덴서(storage capacitor)를 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 능동 매트릭스 액정 디스플레이 장치.
