Claims (8)
- 서로 이격되어 평행하게 대향하는 전면 기판 및 배면 기판;상기 전면 기판과 상기 배면 기판 사이의 공간을 전면, 배면 및 측면을 구비하는 복수의 방전셀로 구획하는 격벽;상기 전면과 상기 배면에 평행하게 상기 측면을 둘러싸며, 상기 전면과 상기 배면에 평행한 방향으로 연장되는 X 전극 및 Y 전극;상기 X 전극과 상기 Y 전극의 사이에 위치하여 상기 전면과 상기 배면에 평행하게 상기 측면을 둘러싸며, 상기 전면과 상기 배면에 평행하고 상기 X 전극과 상기 Y 전극의 연장 방향에 수직하는 방향으로 연장되는 R 전극; 및상기 배면에 형성되는 형광체층을 구비하고,모든 방전셀을 초기화하는 리셋 단계, 유지 방전을 일으킬 방전셀을 선택하는 어드레스 단계 및 선택된 방전셀에 대하여 유지 방전을 수행하는 유지 방전 단계로 구분되는 파형의 전압에 의하여 구동되며,상기 리셋 단계에서, 상기 R 전극에는 제 1 하강 램프식 펄스 후 상승 램프식 펄스 뒤 제 2 하강 램프식 펄스를 갖는 파형의 전압이 인가되고, 상기 X 전극에는 상승 스텝 파형의 전압이 인가되며, 상기 Y 전극에는 접지 전압이 인가됨으로써 구동되는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 하강 램프식 펄스는,상기 접지 전압으로 유지되다가, 상기 접지 전압으로부터 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 낮은 전위의 R 전극 리셋 제 1 전압으로 램프식 하강한 후, 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 1 전압으로 유지되다가, 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 1 전압으로부터 상기 접지 전압으로 스텝식 상승하여 상기 접지 전압으로 유지되는 파형의 펄스인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 상승 램프식 펄스는,상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 R 전극 리셋 제 2 전압으로 유지되다가, 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 2 전압으로부터 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 2 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 R 전극 리셋 제 3 전압으로 램프식 상승한 후, 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 3 전압으로 유지되는 파형의 펄스인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 하강 램프식 펄스는,상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 R 전극 리셋 제 2 전압으로부터 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 2 전압의 전위보다 낮은 전위의 R 전극 리셋 제 4 전압으로 램프식 하강한 후, 상기 R 전극 리셋 제 4 전압으로 유지되는 파형의 펄스인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 R 전극 리셋 제 4 전압의 전위는 상기 접지 전압의 전위 또는 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 낮은 전위인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 상승 스텝 파형의 전압은,상기 접지 전압으로 유지되다가, 상기 접지 전압으로부터 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 X 전극 리셋 전압으로 스텝식 상승하여 상기 X 전극 리셋 전압으로 유지되는 파형의 전압인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 어드레스 단계에서,상기 X 전극에는 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 X 전극 어드레스 전압을 인가하고, 상기 Y 전극에는 상기 접지 전압으로 유지되다가 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 Y 전극 어드레스 전압이 기 설정된 기간 동안 유지된 후 다시 상기 접지 전압으로 유지되는 펄스 파형의 전압을 인가하며, 상기 R 전극에는 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 R 전극 어드레스 제 1 전압으로 유지되다가 상기 R 전극 어드레스 제 1 전압의 전위보다 낮은 전위의 R 전극 어드레스 제 2 전압이 기 설정된 기간 동안 유지된 후 다시 상기 R 전극 어드레스 제 1 전압으로 유지되는 펄스 파형의 전압을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 유지 방전 단계에서,상기 X 전극에는 상기 접지 전압과 유지 방전 전압을 기 설정된 기간 간격만큼 교대로 인가하고, 상기 Y 전극에는 상기 X 전극에 인가되는 것과 반대로 상기 유지 방전 전압과 상기 접지 전압을 교대로 인가하고, 상기 R 전극에는 상기 접지 전압의 전위보다 높은 전위의 R 전극 서스테인 전압을 인가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널.
