- 액정층을 협지하는 한쌍의 기판 중 한쪽 기판에, 복수의 주사 신호선과, 상기 복수의 주사 신호선과 교차하는 복수의 영상 신호선과, 매트릭스 형상으로 배치된 복수의 화소를 구비한 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 복수의 화소의 각 화소는, 상기 주사 신호선에 의해 구동되는 스위칭 소자와, 상기 스위칭 소자를 개재하여 상기 영상 신호선으로부터 영상 신호가 공급되는 화소 전극을 구비하고,상기 한쪽의 기판은, 상기 영상 신호선과 일부가 중첩하는 위치에, 상기 영상 신호선측보다는 상기 한쪽의 기판측에 절연막을 개재하여 형성된 불투명한 도전층을 구비하고,상기 불투명한 도전층 각각은, 상기 영상 신호선의 폭보다도 넓은 폭으로 되어 있는 부분을 가짐과 함께, 상기 영상 신호선의 양편에 배치된 2개의 화소의 화소 전극 양쪽에 상기 불투명한 도전층의 일부가 중첩되고, 또한 상기 불투명한 도전층 각각은 상기 영상 신호선과 전기적으로 접속되고,상기 불투명한 도전층 각각은, 상기 절연막에 형성된 컨택트홀을 통하여 1 개소에서 상기 영상 신호선과 전기적으로 접속되며,상기 컨택트홀에 의한 전기적 접속 부분에서 상기 영상 신호선은 다른 부분보다도 폭이 넓게 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.

- 제5항에 있어서,상기 영상 신호선은 적어도 일부에서, 상기 영상 신호선의 양편에 배치된 2개의 화소의 화소 전극끼리의 간극과 같거나 그것보다도 좁은 폭으로 되어 있는 부분을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 불투명한 도전층과 상기 화소 전극이 중첩한 부분의 면적이, 상기 영상 신호선과 상기 화소 전극이 중첩한 부분의 면적보다도 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 불투명한 도전층은 상기 주사 신호선과 동일 재료로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 화소에서 축적 용량을 형성하기 위한 복수의 용량선을 갖고,상기 불투명한 도전층은 상기 용량선과 동일 재료로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 불투명한 도전층은 상기 2개의 화소 사이의 각각에 대응하여 서로 독립된 패턴으로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극은 투명 전극인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극은 반사 전극인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 화소 전극은 반사 전극이고,상기 각 화소는 투명 전극으로 형성되며 상기 영상 신호가 인가되는 제2 화소 전극을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 불투명한 도전층은 상기 제2 화소 전극과 중첩하지 않은 위치에 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서,광 투과 영역에서의 상기 투명 전극과 광 반사 영역에서의 상기 반사 전극과의 사이에 단차를 형성하고, 상기 광 투과 영역에서의 상기 액정층의 두께가 상기 광 반사 영역에서의 상기 액정층의 두께보다도 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 불투명한 도전층으로부터 상기 화소 전극까지 상기 기판에 대하여 수직 방향으로 측정한 거리쪽이 상기 영상 신호선으로부터 상기 화소 전극까지 상기 기판에 대하여 수직 방향으로 측정한 거리보다도 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,백 라이트를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
