Claims (5)
- 이미지가 표시되는 디스플레이패널을 갖는 디스플레이장치에 있어서,상기 표시되는 이미지의 정지여부를 감지하는 이미지감지부와;상기 디스플레이패널로 인가되는 비디오신호의 비디오게인을 변경시키는 것이 가능한 비디오처리부와;상기 이미지감지부로부터의 감지결과에 기초하여 상기 표시된 이미지가 소정시간 이상 정지된다고 판단되는 경우, 상기 비디오신호의 비디오게인을 변경시키도록 상기 비디오처리부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제어부는,상기 표시된 이미지가 소정시간 이상 정지된다고 판단되는 경우, 소정 주기에 따라 소정의 변경 폭만큼 상기 디스플레이패널로 인가되는 비디오신호의 비디오게인을 변경시키도록 상기 비디오처리부를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서,상기 제어부는,상기 표시되는 이미지와 직전 이미지를 비교한 상기 이미지감지부의 감지신호에 따라, 상기 직전 이미지의 전체영역에 대한 상기 표시된 이미지의 정지영역의 비율이 소정 크기 이상인 경우, 상기 표시된 이미지를 정지이미지라고 판단하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 비디오처리부는,외부에서 입력되는 비디오신호를 상기 디스플레이패널에 표시 가능한 기준 비디오게인의 비디오신호로 변환하며, 상기 제어부로부터의 제어신호에 따라 상기 디스플레이패널로 인가되는 비디오신호의 비디오게인을 변경시켜 출력하는 스케일러를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 이미지가 표시되는 디스플레이패널을 갖는 디스플레이장치의 제어방법에 있어서,상기 표시되는 이미지의 정지여부를 감지하는 단계와;상기 감지결과에 기초하여 상기 표시된 이미지가 소정시간 이상 정지된다고 판단되는 경우, 상기 디스플레이패널로 인가되는 비디오신호의 비디오게인을 변경시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어방법.
