Claims (35)
- 가열 상태를 조절할 수 있도록 반응물을 유지하기에 적합한 반응 용기와;전류가 통과할 때 열을 방출하는 전기 도전성 중합체와;상기 반응 용기 내에서 유지된 반응물에서 일련의 다른 온도들을 발생시키도록 전류를 공급하도록 배열되고 상기 중합체에 대한 전류 공급을 제어하기 위한 제어 수단을 포함하고,상기 중합체는 상기 제어 수단을 경유하여 전원에 연결되는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 복수의 반응 용기들을 포함하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 각 용기 또는 용기들의 그룹을 가열하도록 상이한 전류들이 공급될 수 있는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 각 반응 용기에 대하여 상이한 온도 또는 시간 프로파일에 대한 전류를 공급할 수 있도록 배열되는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 각 반응 용기는 반응물들을 위한 컨테이너를 포함하고,상기 가열기 중합체는 상기 컨테이너와 접촉하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 상기 컨테이너 둘레에 외장(sheath)을 형성하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 필름 형태인 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 외장은 상기 컨테이너와 일체인 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 천공되어 있거나 그물 형상인 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 상기 반응물을 위한 컨테이너를 형성하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 용기는 반응물들을 위한 컨테이너를 포함하고,상기 컨테이너의 표면들 중 한면은 상기 가열기 중합체로 외장되어 있는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 용기 또는 각 반응 용기는 모세관 튜브를 포함하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 용기 또는 각 반응 용기는 슬라이드를 포함하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 용기는 칩을 포함하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 2 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 어레이(array)를 형성하는 복수의 반응 용기를 포함하는 반응 수행장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 반응 용기내에서 다수의 온도 단계를 필요로 하는 반응을 수행하도록 전류를 공급할 수 있게 배열되는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 16 항에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 다수의 사이클의 반응을 자동으로 수행할 수 있도록 프로그램되어 있는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 16 항에 있어서, 상기 반응은 폴리메라제 연쇄 반응(polymerase chain reaction)인 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 반응 용기내의 시료로부터의 신호를 검출하는 수단을 추가로 포함하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 다수의 온도 단계를 필요로 하는 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응을 수행하는 방법에 있어서,전류가 통과할 때 열을 방출하는 전기 도전성 중합체를 포함하는 반응 용기내에 상기 반응에 필요한 반응물들을 위치시키는 단계와;첫번째 소정 온도로 반응물들을 가열하도록 상기 중합체에 전류를 공급하는 단계와;그후, 반응에 필요한 후속하는 온도를 발생시키도록 전류를 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응 수행 방법.
- 제 20 항에 있어서, 상기 반응은 DNA 증폭 방법인 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응 수행 방법.
- 제 21 항에 있어서, 상기 증폭 방법은 폴리메라제 연쇄 반응(PCR)인 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응 수행 방법.
- 제 20 항 내지 제 22 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 복수의 반응을 위한 반응물들은 각각 하나의 반응 용기내에 위치되고, 동시에 가열되는 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응 수행 방법.
- 제 23 항에 있어서, 각 반응 용기는 그 용기내에서 발생하는 반응에 필요한 온도로 개별적으로 가열되는 화학적 또는 생화학적 반응 수행 방법.

- 제 27 항에 있어서, 상기 각 반응 용기는 반응물들을 위한 컨테이너를 포함하고 가열기 중합체는 상기 컨테이너와 접촉하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 28 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 상기 컨테이너 주위에 외장을 형성하는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 28 항 또는 제 29 항에 있어서, 상기 가열기 중합체는 필름 형태인 반응 수행 장치.

- 제 27 항 내지 제 29 항, 또는 제 31 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 용기는 반응물들을 위한 컨테이너를 포함하고,상기 컨테이너의 표면들 중 한면은 상기 가열기 중합체로 외장되어 있는 반응 수행 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항, 제 27 항 내지 제 29 항 또는 제 31 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 장치에 사용하기에 적합한 전기 도전성 중합체와 컨테이너를 포함하는 반응 용기.
