Abstract

본 발명은 공작물의 구면 연마를 위한 장치에 관한 것으로 원통형의 연마면을 갖는 연마석과 공작물을 척킹하여 회전하는 헤드스탁이 로타리 테이블에 의하여 연마석의 중심선에 대하여 수평면상에서 임의의 각도로 선회할 수 있게 하여 필요한 구면을 얻을 수 있게 한 것이 특징이다.

Description

구면 연마장치{Equipment of polishing spherical}
본 발명은 유압 펌프의 로터나 실린더 블록 등 각종 공작물의 외경구면이나 내경곡면을 가공하는 연마장치에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 구면을 가진 공작물의 연마방법으로는 둘레단부를 원호형상으로 드레싱한 연마석을 이용하여 회전하는 공작물에 대하여 연마석을 직교하는 방향으로 이동시켜 구면을 연마하는 방법과, 원판형의 연마석을 회전하는 공작물의 전방에서 고정핀을 중심으로 원호상으로 이동시켜 구면을 가공하는 방법과, 연마석의 절삭면이 원형이면서 중앙부가 요입된 원통형상의 연삭숫돌을 사용하여 구면을 연삭하는 방법을 들 수 있다.
상기의 방법 중 원호형상으로 드레싱한 연마석을 이용하는 방법은 연마석을 장시간 사용할 경우 연마석의 둘레에 형성된 원호부가 점차적으로 마모됨으로서 정밀한 구면 형성이 어려워진다는 점과 연마할 구면의 직경에 따라 각각의 연마석을 준비하여야 한다는 문제점이 있었으며 원형판의 연마석을 이용하는 방법은 연마코자 하는 구면의 구 중심이 커질 경우 연마석을 원호상으로 이동시키는 장치의 구 중심 설정이 곤란해진다는 문제점이 있었고, 연마석의 절삭면이 원형이면서 중앙부가 요입된 원통형의 연마석을 이용하는 방법에는 여러가지 종류가 있으나 그 중 하나인 연마석과 피가공물을 직교하는 방향에서 각각 회전시키면서 피가공물은 고정위치에서 회전기구에 의해 회전되고 연삭숫돌은 직교방향으로 전·후 이동하여 가공하게 된 것은 구 중심 반경이 커질 경우 가공하기 어렵다는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 창출된 것으로 공작물을 고정하고 회전시키는 장치를 연마석에 대하여 임의의 각도로 경사지게 함으로서 연마석과 공작물을 구 중심의 크기에 관계없이 정밀하게 연마 할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
본 발명의 또 다른 목적은 하나의 장치로 공작물의 구면을 형성하는 오목면이나 볼록면에 상관없이 연마할 수 있게 하는 것이다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 구성은 회전 가능하게 구성된 로타리 테이블의 상면에 탑재된 헤드스탁과, 헤드스탁의 전면에 구비된 파워척과, 파워척을 회전시키는 스핀들과, 파워척에 유압을 공급하는 로타리 실린더와, 헤드스탁의 측면에 구비된 스핀들 구동모터와, 스핀들의 회전속도를 제어하는 포지션 코더로 이루어지며, 파워척이 위치하는 전면에는 전·후, 좌·우로 위치변경이 가능하게 구성된 연마석과 회전장치가 구비된다.
이하 본 발명을 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세하게 설명하기로 한다.
도 1은 본 발명 구면연마 장치의 평면도이고,
도 2는 본 발명 구면연마 장치의 정면도이며,
도 3은 본 발명 구면연마 장치의 측면도이다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이 본 발명은 로타리 테이블(1)에 탑재되어 임의의 각도로 수평면에서 선회 가능한 헤드스탁(2)과 그 일단면에 구비된 공작물을 고정하는 파워척(3)과, 파워척(3)이 위치하는 반대측면에 구비된 파워척(3) 구동용 로타리 실린더(4)와, 주축을 구성하는 스핀들(5)과, 스핀들(5)과 결합된 V풀리(6)와, V벨트(7)를 거쳐 스핀들을 구동하는 구동모터(13)와, 스핀들의 일단에 벨트로 연결되어 스핀들의 회전수를 카운트하고 제어하는 포지션 코더(8)와, 파워척(3)이 위치하는 전면에 배치된 연마석과, 그 구동장치 및 연마되는 칩의 비산 및 작업자 보호용 안전 커버(9)가 파워척 및 공작물의 주위를 원통형으로 감싸는 형태로 구비되어 있다.
연마석 구동장치(도면 미도시)는 연마석(10)의 회전 구동 수단과 공작물에 대하여 전·후진 과 좌·우 이동이 가능하게 구성되어 있을 뿐이므로 본 발명의 특징적인 구성을 보다 명확하게 하기 위하여 그 구체적인 설명을 생략하기로 한다.
도 2는 본 발명의 정면도로서 새들(11)상에 탑재되는 로타리 테이블(1)은 센터핀(12)을 중심으로 헤드스탁(2)을 선회시킬 수 있도록 구성되어 있다.
이하에서 상기와 같이 구성된 본 발명의 구면 연마과정의 실시 예를 설명하면 다음과 같다.
[실시 예]
A : 공작물의 구면 반경= 280 mm, 가공구면의 단면 = 22.7 mm
(1) 연마석의 반경 B = 40 mm
공작물의 중심선에서 실제 가공될 부분의 절반 위치까지의 거리
(2) 연마석의 개구된 단부를 15°이상 릴리프 드레싱한다.
(3) 주축과 연마석의 각도
(4)주축 이동량
D : 주축 회전 중심에서 공작물의 가공면까지 거리 = 438.45 mm
E : 주축 이동량 + 연마석의 반경(B)
주축이동량 = 62.53(E) - 40(B) = 22.53
(5) 연마석과 공작물을 접촉하며 가공무늬 및 치수를 확인 후 가공한다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명은 공작물에 형성되는 구면의 치수나 크기에 관계없이 구면 형성을 위한 연마를 정밀하게 할 수 있음을 물론 원통형의 연마면을 갖는 컵형 연마석을 사용하여 높은 생산성을 올릴 수 있게 하는 효과가 있다.

  1. 구면 연마를 위한 장치에 있어서, 로타리 테이블(1)에 의하여 수평면 상에서 선회 가능한 헤드스탁(2)과, 헤드스탁(2)의 전면에 구비된 공작물의 클램프, 언클램프를 시켜주는 파워척(3) 및 로타리 실린더(4)와, 스핀들(5)을 구동하는 모터 (13)와, 스핀들 회전속도를 제어하는 포지션 코더(8)와, 공작물의 구면에 접촉되어 회전하는 원통형의 연마면을 갖는 연마석(10)을 전·후, 좌·우로 이동할 수 있게 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 구면 연마장치.
