- 제 22항의 방법의 일부를 수행하는데 사용하기 위한 MPEG 수신기/디코더로서,이와 같은 MPEG 테이블들을 수신하기 위한 수단;공개키와 상기 공개키에 대한 식별자를 저장하기 위한 수단;적어도 하나의 오프세트를 저장하기 위한 메모리의 보호 영역;상기 개인키에 해당되는 상기 저장된 공개키를 사용하여 이와 같은 수신된 MPEG 테이블에서 상기 암호화된 데이터 블록을 복호화하고, 상기 복호화된 데이터 블록의 개시로부터 상기 조사 오프세트를 사용하여 상기 서명을 상기 복호화된 데이터 블록으로부터 추출하고, 상기 수신된 MPEG 테이블에서 상기 데이터에 대한 서멍을 생성하며, 상기 복호화된 데이터 블록으로부터 추출된 상기 서명과 상기 수신된 데이터에 대한 상기 수신기/디코더에서 생성된 상기 서명을 비교하도록 프로그램되는 처리 수단을 포함하는 MPEG 수신기/디코더.
- 제 47항에 있어서, 적어도 2개의 이와 같은 오프세트는 상기 메모리의 보호 영역에 저장되며, 상기 추출된 신호와 상기 생성된 신호가 서로 일치하지 않으면, 상기 처리 수단은 상기 저장된 오프세트중 또 다른 하나를 사용하여 검색하고, 추출하며 비교하는 것을 반복하도록 동작될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기/디코더.
- 제 48 항에 있어서, 상기 오프세트를 저장하기 위한 상기 메모리는 재기록 가능한 비활성 메모리로 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신기/디코더.
- 제 25항에 청구된 방법에 사용하기 위한 제 47 내지 49 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 상기 처리 수단은 상기 수신된 모듈 MPEG 테이블에서 상기 각 모듈에 대한 개개의 모듈 서명을 생성하고, 상기 수신된 디렉토리 MPEG 테이블에서의 각 모듈 서명을 상기 수신기/디코더에 의해 생성된 상기 개개의 모듈 서명과 비교하도록 프로그램되는 것을 특징으로 수신기/디코더.
