Description
Claims (25)
- 복수의 프레임에 대응하는 화상 신호를 부호화하는 부호화 방법에 있어서,상기 화상 신호를 부호화하여, 부호화된 화상 신호의 비트 스트림(bit stream)을 얻는 단계와,상기 복수의 프레임 중 연속적인 프레임의 화상 표시 시간 사이의 모든 간격이 고정적인지 또는 가변적일 수 있음을 표시하는 표시 주기 식별자(display cycle identifier)를 생성하는 단계와,상기 표시 주기 식별자가 상기 간격이 고정적임을 나타내는 경우에, 상기 복수의 프레임 중 임의의 연속적인 두 개의 프레임의 화상 표시 시간 사이의 고정 간격을 나타내는 표시 주기 데이터를 부호화하고, 상기 부호화된 표시 주기 데이터, 상기 표시 주기 식별자 및 상기 비트 스트림을 다중화(multiplexing)하는 단계와,상기 표시 주기 식별자가 상기 간격이 가변적일 수 있음을 나타내는 경우에, 상기 복수의 프레임 중 하나의 프레임에 대해 화상 표시 타이밍을 나타내는 표시 타이밍 데이터를 부호화하고, 각각의 프레임에 대한 상기 부호화된 표시 타이밍 데이터, 상기 표시 주기 식별자 및 상기 비트 스트림을 다중화하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 표시 주기 식별자 및 상기 표시 타이밍 데이터는 부호화된 화상 신호의 상기 비트 스트림의 시작을 나타내는 헤더내에 위치되고, 상기 표시 타이밍 데이터는 상기 표시 주기 식별자의 바로 뒤에 위치되는 화상 신호 부호화 방법.
- 복수의 프레임에 대응하는 화상 신호를 부호화하는 부호화 장치에 있어서,상기 화상 신호를 부호화함으로써 부호화된 화상 신호의 비트 스트림을 얻는 부호화 수단과,상기 복수의 프레임 중 연속적인 프레임의 화상 표시 시간 사이의 모든 간격이 고정적인지 또는 가변적일 수 있음을 표시하는 표시 주기 식별자를 생성하는 식별자 생성 수단과,상기 복수의 프레임 중 임의의 연속적인 두 개의 프레임의 화상 표시 시간 사이의 고정 간격을 나타내는 표시 주기 데이터를 생성하는 표시 주기 데이터 생성 수단과,상기 복수의 프레임 중 하나의 프레임에 대해 화상 표시 타이밍을 나타내는 표시 타이밍 데이터를 생성하는 표시 타이밍 데이터 생성 수단과,상기 표시 주기 식별자가 상기 간격이 고정적임을 나타내는 경우에 상기 표시 주기 식별자, 상기 표시 주기 데이터 및 상기 비트 스트림을 다중화하거나, 상기 표시 주기 식별자가 상기 간격이 가변적일 수 있음을 나타내는 경우에 상기 표시 주기 식별자, 상기 표시 타이밍 데이터 및 상기 비트 스트림을 다중화하는 다중화 수단을 포함하며,상기 표시 주기 식별자 및 상기 표시 타이밍 데이터는 부호화된 화상 신호의 상기 비트 스트림의 시작을 나타내는 헤더내에 위치되고, 상기 표시 타이밍 데이터는 상기 표시 주기 식별자의 바로 뒤에 위치되는 을 포함하는 화상 신호 부호화 장치.
