Claims (6)
- 소정의 캐리어 증폭기와 피크 증폭기를 포함하여 이루어지는 도허티 증폭기에 있어서,N(N≥2인 자연수)개의 경로들과;상기 N개의 경로들 중에서 어느 한 경로 상에 배치되는 캐리어 증폭기;상기 캐리어 증폭기가 배치된 경로 이외의 (N-1)개의 경로들 상에 각각 배치되는 피크 증폭기들;상기 N개의 경로들 각각에 전력을 분배하기 위한 전력 분배수단; 및상기 N개의 경로들이 모이는 쿼터 웨이브 임피던스 트랜스포머를 포함하여 된 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어 증폭기 및 피크 증폭기들 각각은 모두 동일한 트랜지터를 사용하여 구성되도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 쿼터 웨이브 임피던스 트랜스포머의 특성 임피던스(RT)는,이고,상기 식에서 R0는 상기 RT후단에 위치하는 출력 로드 저항이고,R0C는 상기 캐리어 증폭기 후단에 위치하는 오프셋 라인의 특성 임피던스,R0P는 상기 피크 증폭기 후단에 위치하는 오프셋 라인들 각각의 특성 임피던스인 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
- 제1항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어 증폭기 후단에 위치하는 상기 오프셋 라인의 특성 임피던스는 소정의 각도()를 가지고,상기 피크 증폭기 후단에 위치하는 오프셋 라인의 특성 임피던스는 소정의 각도()를 가지며,상기 피크 증폭기 각각의 앞단에는 소정의 각도()을 갖는 전송선로가 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐리어 증폭기와 피크 증폭기의 게이트 바이어스를 다르게 하는 도허티 증폭기의 특성을 이용하기 위해 저 전력에서는 상기 피크 증폭기를 오프(off)하고 고전력에서는 상기 피크 증폭기를 상기 캐리어 증폭기의 바이어스 레벨이 되도록 점진적으로 온(on)시키기 위한 포락선(envelope) 트랙킹 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 상기 포락선 트랙킹 수단은 포락선 검출기와, 상기 포락선 검출기에 의해 검출된 포락선 신호를 감쇄 및/또는 증폭하고 오프셋을 제거하여 상기 피크 증폭기의 게이트 전압으로 인가하는 포락선 쉐이핑 회로를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 도허티 증폭기.
