Description
Claims (10)
- 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기에 있어서,(a) 제1파장선택 결합기를 통해서 제1펌핑 광원과 연결되어 제공된 펌핑 광에 의해 씨-밴드의 광신호를 증폭하는 소정 길이의 제1어븀첨가 광섬유;(b) 제2펌핑 광원에 의해 엘-밴드 광신호를 증폭하는 소정 길이의 제2어븀첨가 광섬유;(c) 상기 제1어븀첨가 광섬유의 증폭 과정 시 발생된 씨-밴드의 특정 파장을 엘-밴드 광신호의 상기 제2펌핑 광원으로서 재활용하기 위한 피드백 루프;(d) 상기 제1,2어븀첨가 광섬유 사이에 제공되어 상기 제1어븀첨가 광섬유에서 증폭된 광파워를 분할하여 소정 비율의 광파워는 상기 제2어븀첨가 광섬유에 제공함과 아울러 상기 소정 비율의 광파워의 나머지를 상기 피드백 루프에 재입사시키기 위하여 연결되는 탭 결합기; 및(e) 상기 탭 결합기에 의해 입사된 신호광을 제1어븀첨가 광섬유에 연결시키는 제2파장선택 결합기로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 탭 결합기는 상기 제1어븀첨가 광섬유에서 증폭된 신호광의 일정 비율을 제2어븀첨가 광섬유에 제공하고, 상기 증폭된 신호광에서 상기 일정 비율을 제외한 만큼의 신호광을 피드백 루프에 제공함을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 피드백 루프는 선택된 특정 파장만을 진행시키기 위한 튜너블 필터를 더 구비함을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1파장선택 결합기는 980/1550nm로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 피드백 루프는 상기 제1파장선택 결합기에 선택된 파장이 순방향으로 입사되도록 광 아이솔레이터를 더 구비함을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2파장선택 결합기는 1550/1590nm 파장선택 결합기로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기에 있어서,(a) 파장선택 결합기를 통해서 제1펌핑 광원과 연결되어 제공된 펌핑 광에 의해 씨-밴드의 광신호를 증폭하는 소정 길이의 제1어븀첨가 광섬유;(b) 상기 제1어븀첨가 광섬유를 통해 얻어진 씨-밴드의 고출력 광신호의 제2펌핑 광에 의해 엘-밴드 광신호를 증폭하는 소정 길이의 제2어븀첨가 광섬유; 및(c) 상기 파장선택 결합기의 선방에 위치하여 씨-밴드의 고출력 광신호를 제공하는데 사용되며, 고 반사율을 구비하는 제1광섬유 격자부와, 상기 제1,2어븀첨가 광섬유 사이에 제공되며, 무반사부를 구비하는 제2광섬유 격자부플 포함하는 격자부로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제1,2광섬유 격자부는 다수개의 단주기 광섬유 격자들로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 파장선택 결합기는 980/1550nm 파장을 연결하는 결합기로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제1,2광섬유 격자부는 동일파장 특성을 갖는 격자들로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 엘-밴드 어븀첨가 광섬유 증폭기.
