- 그랜젼(Grandjean) 배향된 콜레스테릭 액정 상으로 이루어진 액정 중합체의 고화층을 가짐을 특징으로 하며,액정 중합체가, 유리전이온도가 80℃ 이상이고 화학식 a의 단량체 단위와 화학식 b의 단량체 단위를 함유하는 공중합체를 성분으로 하는,원평광 2색성 광학 소자.화학식 a화학식 b상기 식에서,R1및 R2는 수소 원자 또는 메틸 그룹이고,m 및 n은 1 내지 6의 정수이며,X1및 X2는 CO2그룹 또는 OCO 그룹이고,p 및 q는 각각 1 또는 2이고,p+q는 3이며,X3은 -CO-R3또는 -R4[여기서, R3은또는이고, R4는이다(여기서, R5는또는이다)]이다.

- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상이한 파장의 광선에 대해 원편광 2색성을 나타내는 액정 중합체의 고화층의 적층체를 포함하는 광학 소자.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 원편광을 직선 편광화하는 위상차 층을 갖는 광학 소자.
- 제4항에 있어서, 자연광선으로 이루어진 입사광을 NBS 방식에 기초한 색 변화 △ab가 10 이하인 상태의 편광으로 하여 방출하는 광학 소자.
- 액정 셀에서 시각 확인 광선의 입사측에 제3항 또는 제6항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
- 광 방출측에 제2항 또는 제5항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 장치.
- 화학식 a의 단량체 단위 60 내지 95중량%와 화학식 b의 단량체 단위 40 내지 5중량%로 이루어진 공중합체를 성분으로 함을 특징으로 하는 액정 중합체.화학식 a화학식 b상기 식에서,R1및 R2는 수소 원자 또는 메틸 그룹이고,m 및 n은 1 내지 6의 정수이며,X1및 X2는 CO2그룹 또는 OCO 그룹이고,p 및 q는 각각 1 또는 2이고,p+q는 3이며,X3은 -CO-R3또는 -R4[여기서, R3은또는이고, R4는이다(여기서, R5는또는이다)]이다.
- 제3항에 있어서, 원평광을 직선 편광화하는 위상차 층을 갖는 광학 소자.
- 제9항에 있어서, 자연광선으로 이루어진 입사광을 NBS 방식에 기초한 색 변화 △ab가 10 이하인 상태의 편광으로 하여 방출하는 광학 소자.
- 액정 셀에서 시각 확인 광선의 입사측에 제3항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 셀에서 시각 확인 광선의 입사측에 제4항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 셀에서 시각 확인 광선의 입사측에 제9항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
- 액정 셀에서 시각 확인 광선의 입사측에 제10항에 따르는 광학 소자를 가짐을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
