Claims (7)
- 분극 광섬유에 있어서,일측 단부 또는 양단부가 원래의 코어와 클래딩의 형태를 유지하는 광섬유 단부와,상기 광섬유 일측 단부 또는 양단부를 제외한 광섬유 가운데 부분으로서, 상기 클래딩의 일부에 상기 광섬유의 길이방향으로 상기 코어와 근접한 면을 가지도록 홈이 파여진 광섬유 가운데 부분을 가지며,상기 홈의 코어와 근접한 면에 배치되는 전극에 의해 분극이 형성되는 분극 광섬유.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 홈은 상기 코어를 중심을 대칭적으로 배치되는 분극 광섬유.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 홈의 코어와 근접한 면은 편평하거나, 볼록하거나, 또는 오목한 형태일 수 있는 분극광섬유.
- 분극 광섬유를 제조하는 방법에 있어서,광섬유의 클래딩의 일부중 광섬유의 길이방향으로 홈이 파여질 부분을 제외한 상기 광섬유의 클래딩의 나머지 부분 및 상기 광섬유의 양단부를 식각저항물질로 패터닝해 덮는 단계와,상기 식각저항물질이 덮여진 부분을 제외한 나머지 부분을 식각하는 단계와,상기 식각에 의해 절삭된 부분에 전극을 증착하는 단계와,상기 증착된 전극에 전압을 인가하는 단계를 포함하는 분극 광섬유를 제조하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 식각 단계는 건식 식각 또는 습식 식각을 포함하는, 분극 광섬유를 제조하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 전극에는 평탄 분극 또는 주기 분극이 유도될 수 있는, 분극 광섬유를 제조하는 방법.
- 분산 보상기에 있어서,신호광 파장의 1/2 근처인 파장을 출력하는 펌프 광원과,상기 펌프광원으로부터 출력된 펌프광의 모드를 다중모드에서 단일 모드로변환하는 모드 변환기와,전송로를 통해 수신된 신호광과 상기 모드 변환기로부터 출력된 펌프광을 결합하는 광섬유 결합기와,상기 광섬유 결합기로부터의 신호광과 펌프광을 수신하여 펌프광과 신호과의 차주파수를 생성하여 위상공액파를 생성하는 주기 분극 광섬유와, 상기 주기 분극 광섬유로부터 출력된 신호에서 상기 위상공액파를 통과시키는 필터를 포함하는 분산 보상기.
