Description
Claims (16)
- 공간 광 변조기;상기 변조기를 통해 광을 지향시키는 지향성 조명 시스템; 및상기 변조기와 연관된 패럴랙스 광학계를 포함하되,상기 조명 시스템은 광을 복수의 제1 개념적 관찰 윈도우쪽으로 지향시키고 -상기 제1 개념적 관찰 윈도우 각각은 제1 횡방향 범위를 가짐-,상기 패럴랙스 광학계는 상기 변조기와 협동하여 상기 변조기의 무지향성 조명은 제2 개념적 관찰 윈도우들을 형성하고 -상기 제2 개념적 관찰 윈도우 각각은 제2 횡방향 범위를 가짐-,상기 변조기, 상기 조명 시스템 및 상기 패럴랙스 광학계는 협동하여 현실의 관찰 윈도우를 형성하는 -상기 현실의 관찰 윈도우 각각은 상기 제1 횡방향 범위와 제2 횡방향 범위의 곱과 같고 또한 상기 제1 및 제2 횡방향 범위 각각보다 작은 횡방향 범위를 가짐-것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조명 시스템은 적어도 하나의 조명 광원 및 이미징 시스템을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 조명 시스템은 복수의 이산적인 광원을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 이미징 시스템은 필드 렌즈를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 조명 시스템은 백라이트, 및 상기 조명 광원을 규정하는 복수의 슬릿을 갖는 마스크를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 마스크의 상기 슬릿들간의 영역은 상기 백라이트쪽으로 반사되는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 이미징 시스템은 렌티큘러 스크린을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 렌티큘러 스크린의 각 렌티큘은 일군의 슬릿들과 협동하여 상기 슬릿들을 각각의 관찰 윈도우내의 복수의 로브에 이미징시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 이미징 시스템은 적어도 하나의 홀로그래픽 광학 소자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 조명 광원은 시준된 광원을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 관찰 윈도우는 횡방향으로 연접하여 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 관찰 윈도우는 횡방향으로 일정 간격을 두고 횡방향으로 연접한 관찰 윈도우의 쌍을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 패럴랙스 광학계는 패럴랙스 배리어를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기는 제1 및 제2 공간 광 변조기를 포함하고, 상기 패럴랙스 광학계는 상기 제1 및 제2 공간 광 변조기와 각각 협동하는 제1 및 제2 패럴랙스 광학계를 포함하며, 상기 디스플레이는 상기 제1 및 제2 공간 광 변조기로부터의 출력광을 결합시키기 위한 빔 결합기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 조명 시스템은 복수의 이산적인 광원, 및 상기 광원으로부터의 광을 상기 제1 및 제2 공간 광 변조기쪽으로 지향시키기 위한 빔 분할기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기와 협동하고 또한 지향성 디스플레이 모드를 제공하기 위한 비확산 상태와 무지향성 디스플레이 모드를 제공하기 위한 확산 상태 사이에서 스위칭할 수 있는 스위칭가능 디퓨저를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 지향성 디스플레이.
