Claims (12)
- 전극 및 정렬 필름을 갖는 한 쌍의 기판, 및 상기 기판 사이에 배치된 불소 함유 네마틱 액정을 포함하며, 상기 정렬 필름에는 전압 인가 없이 굽힘 정렬 상태로 네마틱 액정의 액정 분자를 정렬시키는 정렬력이 제공되며, 소정의 전압을 인가할 경우 액정의 굴절률 이방성 Δn, 액정 소자의 셀 두께 d (nm)에 대한 액정 소자의 위상차 R (nm)일 때, 위상차 계수 R/Δn·d가 0.12 내지 0.3인 액정 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 정렬 필름이 액정을 동방향으로 정렬하는 동방향 정렬 필름 성분 및 액정을 균일하게 정렬하는 균일한 정렬 필름 성분을 포함하는 액정 소자.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 정렬 필름이 액정을 동방향으로 정렬하기 위한 동방향 정렬 필름 재료 및 액정을 균일하게 정렬하기 위한 균일한 정렬 필름 재료의 혼합물을 포함하는 액정 소자.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 동방향 정렬 필름 재료가 플루오로알킬 사슬을 포함하는 분자 구조를 갖는 화합물을 포함하는 액정 소자.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 동방향 정렬 필름 재료가 하기 화학식 1 또는 2로 표시되는 반복 단위를 갖는 중합체 화합물을 포함하는 액정 소자.<화학식 1><화학식 2>식중, X 및 Z은 각각 폴리알킬렌 사슬, 폴리아크릴산 사슬, 폴리메타크릴산 사슬, 프탈로게노아크릴산 사슬, 폴리알킬아크릴산 사슬, 폴리옥시알킬렌 사슬, 폴리이미드 사슬, 폴리아미드 사슬, 폴리에테르 사슬, 폴리플르오르화 알킬 사슬 또는 폴리카르보네이트 사슬을 나타내고,Y는 비방향적으로 단일결합, -O-, -COO-, -OCOO-, 또는 (여기서, R1및 R2는 독립적으로 알킬 또는 수소를 나타내고, R3는 알킬렌을 나타내고, m, n, p, q, r, s 및 t는 독립적으로 0 또는 1을 나타낸다)을 나타내고,M은 0 내지 20의 정수이고, 및N (접미어)은 0 내지 30의 정수를 나타낸다.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 정렬 필름이 42.1 dyne/cm 이하의 표면 에너지를 갖는 액정 소자.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 정렬 필름이 37.4 내지 40.9 dyne/cm의 표면 에너지를 갖는 액정 소자.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 네마틱 액정이 굽힘에 대한 탄성 상수 K33및 비틀림에 대한 탄성 상수 K22사이의 비 K33/K22가 4.12 이하인 불소 함유 네마틱 액정인 액정 소자.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 네마틱 액정이 굽힘에 대한 탄성 상수 K33및 비틀림에 대한 탄성 상수 K22사이의 비 K33/K22가 2.08 이하인 불소 함유 네마틱 액정인 액정 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 암 디스플레이 상태에서의 액정이 50 nm 이하의 위상차를 갖도록 고정된 액정 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 위상차 계수가 0.12 이상으로 고정된 액정 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 위상차 계수가 0.17 내지 0.27로 고정된 액정 소자.
