Abstract

PURPOSE: A master vacuum assembly for a braking apparatus is provided to reduce the weight by moving fixed plates with an operating rod and by eliminating the valve body assembly, and to cut down expenses by simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: A diaphragm(4) is supported by a return spring(3) in front and rear shells(1,2), and the shell is divided into a static pressure chamber(5) and a variable pressure chamber(6) by the diaphragm. An operating rod(7) is installed in the variable pressure chamber, and the static pressure chamber is connected to a push rod and a master cylinder. An operating plate(9) is installed in the operating rod to open and close the passage of the static pressure chamber and the variable pressure chamber. A shutoff plate(10) is spaced from the operating plate to regulate inflow of air. The weight is reduced by using the fixing plate moving with the operating rod.
