Abstract
PURPOSE: To function the service brake automatically, by providing an electromagnetic gate valve in a path conducting between constant and variable chambers in power multiplier while an electromagnetic exchange valve in a path for conducting the variable chamber to the atmosphere and interlocking them with parking brake.
CONSTITUTION: Pneumatic brake power multiplier 1 has an air valve 14 to be fitted in a piston 5 integrated with a diaphragm 4 for separating the housing into two, where the air valve 14 is functioned by service brake pedal 16 through an operating rod 15. Here an electromagnetic gate valve 40 closing during power supply is inserted in a path 12 conducting between both chambers 10, 11, while the atmosphere guide inlet 45 is made through the rear shell surrounding the variable pressure chamber 11 and conducted through an electromagnetic exchange valve 48 opening during power supply to the atmosphere. Said electromagnetic valves 40, 48 are functioned when any one of brake switch 56, parking brake switch 57 is turned on while the car speed switch 58 is turned on and the relay coil 59 is functioned.
