Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve characters for speed change operation by equipping with a power transmission mechanism including main and sub speed change mechanisms, an actuator, a hydraulic fluid source and passages therefor, a manual switch, a clutch-cut detecting switch and solenoid valves.

CONSTITUTION: When a movable terminal 69 is switched to a terminal 67 or 68 by an operation of a manual switch 66 and a clutch pedal is treaded on, a clutch-cut detecting switch 70 is closed because a friction clutch is cut and a solenoid 64 or 65 is energized. In case the solenoid 64 is energized, a vacuum passage 57 and a branch passage 58 are communicated and vacuum stored in a vacuum tank 61 is introduced to a pressure chamber 54, and thereby, a piston 51 is shifted to the right and air is introduced into a pressure chamber 53 through an air opening passage 63. According to the above-described operation, a lever 48 is pivoted in clock-wise through a rod 50 and a sub speed change with bigger reduction ratio may be obtained which improves accelerating character. When the terminals 68, 69 are connected, a sub speed change with smaller reduction ratio may be obtained which provides lower fuel consumption.
