Claims (10)
- (a) 하나 이상의 산화 가능한 알킬 또는 아실 그룹을 갖는 방향족 화합물을 중금속 성분을 포함하는 산화 촉매의 존재하에 약 250 내지 약 450°F의 반응온도에서 저분자량 카복실산을 포함하는 용매 속에서 산소 함유 기체로 액상 산화시켜 방향족 카복실산을 포함하는 산화 반응 생성 혼합물을 형성시키는 단계,(b) 산화 반응 생성 혼합물을 약 550°F 이상의 온도에서 가열하여 제2 생성 혼합물을 형성시키는 단계 및(c) 제2 생성 혼합물로부터 방향족 카복실산을 회수하는 단계를 포함하는, 방향족 카복실산의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(b)에서의 온도가 약 600°F 이상인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 방향족 화합물이 2,6-디메틸나프탈렌이고 방향족 카복실산이 2,6-나프탈렌디카복실산인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계(c)에서의 회수 공정이 제2 생성 혼합물로부터 고체 방향족 카복실산을 분배하여 분배된 방향족 카복실산 및 모액을 형성하는 공정을 포함하고, 여기서 모액의 일부 또는 전부를 단계(a)로 재순환시키는 방법.
- 평균 입자 크기가 약 40μ 이상이고, 입자 크기가 11μ 미만인 2,6-나프탈렌디카복실산이 15중량% 이하인, 제1항에 따르는 방법에 의해 제조된 2,6-나프탈렌디카복실산.
- (a) 디알킬, 디아실 및 알킬아실 나프탈렌 화합물을 중금속 산화 촉매의 존재하에서 액상 산화시켜 나프탈렌디카복실산을 형성시키는 단계,(b) 단계(a)로부터 형성된 불순한 나프탈렌디카복실산을 500°F 이상의 온도에서 정제 용매와 접촉시키는 단계 및(c) 정제된 나프탈렌디카복실산을 회수하는 단계를 포함하는, 정제된 나프탈렌디카복실산의 제조방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 산이 2,6-나프탈렌디카복실산인 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 단계(b)를 수소 기체 및 수소화 촉매의 존재하에서 수행하는 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 정제 용매가 물과 저분자량 카복실산의 혼합물인 방법.
- 제6항의 방법에 의해 제조된 2,6-나프탈렌디카복실산.
