Claims (12)
- 서로 마주 대하고 있는 제1 및 제2 기판, 상기 제1 기판 위에 형성되어 있는 제1 전극, 상기 제1 전극을 덮고 있는 절연막, 상기 절연막 위에 형성되어 있으며 상기 제1 전극과 적어도 일부분이 중첩되어 있고 선형으로 형성되어 있는 제2 전극을 포함하며, 상기 제1 전극은 상기 제2 전극 사이에서 연속적인 면으로 이루어져 있고, 하나의 화소 영역에는 적어도 상기 제2 전극 중 하나와 제1 전극의 일부가 포함되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서, 인접한 화소 영역 내에 위치하는 상기 제1 전극은 서로 연결되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서, 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 주입되어 있는 액정 물질층을 더 포함하고, 상기 액정 물질층을 이루는 액정 분자는 상기 제2 전극의 길이 방향에 대하여 0도 내지 45도 사이의 각도를 이루도록 초기 배향되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서, 상기 제2 전극 사이의 거리는 가변적인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에서, 상기 제1 기판 위에 형성되어 있는 주사 신호선과 상기 절연막 위에 형성되어 있으며 상기 주사 신호선과 절연되어 교차하고 있는 화상 신호선을 더 포함하고, 상기 제1 전극은 상기 화상 신호선에 의하여 양분되는 개구부를 가지는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에서, 상기 액정 물질층의 액정 분자들은 상기 제2 전극의 길이 방향에 대하여 0도 내지 45도의 각도로 초기 배향되어 있는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에서, 상기 제2 전극 사이의 거리는 가변적인 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항 내지 제7항 중의 어느 한 항에서, 상기 전기장은 상기 제1 전극과 상기 제2 전극의 사이에 위치하는 포물선 모양의 전기력선을 가지고 있으며, 상기 전기력선은 상기 제1전극 또는 상기 제2 전극 위에서 수직 및 수평 성분을 가지는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중의 어느 한 항에서, 상기 제1 전극은 투명 도전 물질로 이루어진 액정 표시 장치.
- 제9항에서, 상기 제1 및 제2 기판의 바깥면에 각각 부착되어 있는 편광판을 더 포함하며, 상기 편광판 중 하나를 통과한 빛은 상기 화상 표시 영역을 통과하여 다른 편광판에 도달하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 서로 마주 대하고 있는 제1 및 제2 기판, 상기 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 봉합되어 있는 액정 물질층, 상기 제1 기판 위에 형성되어 있는 주사 신호선, 상기 제1 기판 위의 상기 주사 신호선 사이에 형성되어 있는 공통 전극, 상기 주사 신호선 및 상기 공통 전극 위에 형성되어 있는 절연막, 상기 절연막 위에 형성되어 있으며 상기 주사 신호선 및 상기 공통 전극과 교차하고 있는 화상 신호선, 상기 주사 신호선과 연결되어 있는 게이트 전극 및 상기 데이터선과 연결되어 있는 소스 전극, 그리고 드레인 전극을 가지고 있는 다수의 박막 트랜지스터, 상기 절연막 위에 형성되어 있으며 상기 박막 트랜지스터의 드레인 전극과 연결되어 있는 화소 전극을 포함하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제11항에서, 상기 제1전극은 상기 화상 신호선에 의하여 양분되는 개구부를 가지는 액정 표시 장치.
