Claims (4)
- 상부에 일단의 주사 라인 및 일단의 데이타 라인을 각각 갖고 있는 한쌍의 대향 배치된 전극판과, 주사 라인 및 데이타 라인의 각각의 교차 부분에 픽셀을 형성하기 위해 한쌍의 전극판들 사이에 배치된 액정을 포함하는 형태의 액정 장치의 구동 방법에 있어서, 주사 라인들 중에서 한 주사 라인을 선택하고, 하나의 주사 주기 내의 하나의 주사 선택 주기(C)에서 상기 선택된 주사 라인으로 주사 선택 신호를 인가하는 단계 ; 및 상기 선택된 주사 라인 상의 관련된 픽셀에 대한 데이타 라인으로 데이타 신호를 인가하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 데이타 신호는 상기 주사 선택 주기(C)와 동기되는 데이타 신호 주기(C)내의 제1 신호와, 주기(B)내의 상기 제1 신호를 보상하기 위한 제2 신호와, 상기 제1 신호에 작용하는 상기 제2 신호(B)에 의한 누화 효과를 줄이기 위한 AC 주기(A)내의 AC 신호를 포함하여, 상기 제1 및 제2 신호는 관련된 픽셀에 제로(0)의 시적분 전압을 제공하고, 상기 AC 신호 또한 관련된 픽셀에 제로(0)의 시적분 전압을 제공하며 ; 상기 제1 신호는 상기 상관 픽셀에 대한 계조 데이타(gradation data)에 따라 변하는 파형을 가지며, 상기 AC 신호는 상기 AC 신호 다음에 인가된 상기 제1 신호에 따라 변하는 파형을 가지며 ; 각각의 픽셀은 임계전압 분포를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 AC 신호 주기(A)가 하나의 주사 주기 내의 데이타 신호 주기(C) 전에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 AC 신호의 선행 전압 펄스가 상기 제2 신호내의 초기 펄스의 극성과 상이한 극성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액정이 치럴 스메텍(chiral smectic) 액정인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치의 구동 방법.
